  • Cool or what?

  • Anyone catch the Lee Morgan quote at the end of the trumpeter's solo? Lovely nod of respect. Does anyone know who the trumpeter in this video is?

  • @chwjts Brian Lynch on trumpet, just added to the info ;-)

  • I have to transcript the trombone part for a project in my 8th grade school jazz band. Not gonna be easy. And I only have until thursday

  • @deadend3001 No was Bobby Timmons

  • @deadend3001 This tune was written by Bobby Timmons.

  • @deadend3001 Maybe I'm not so fast with my words, sorry=)

Frank Lacy, tb, Essiet Okon Essiet, b, Geoff Keezer, p

  • Very cool sounding.

  • geoffrey keezer on piano! what a beast. this is the earliest video ive seen of him. hes 19 in this vid. WOW!

  • Thanks, I'll add it to the info. He made me think of Benny Green a bit (also the play) but knew it was wrong, the trumpet makes me think of Lew Soloff but also that ain't correct, thanks again ;-)

  • @Geepereet The trumpet leaves me cold, not a patch on Lee Morgan,or sweet Harry Edison, Art Farmer etc, He can play knows his stuff but is contrived.

  • @valvetrom: I think Brian Lynch still burns pretty hard in his solo on this one!

  • @jaggerjazz burning hard is different from hear warming.

  • Moanin'

  • @kooskutsch Thanks, quick and reliable ;-)
