@ryannewellisg i cant give a direct answer to why other people listen to this type of music. i can tell you why i listen to this type of music though. in general, i listen to everything because, in my opinion, that is what a true lover of music does. i listen to extreme metal because i enjoy it. i like the macabre and bands like Cannibal Corpse depict very strong scenes that are full of deep hatred and gore along with horror. as for the lyrics, well i got used to it.
