I remember 2 1/2 years ago my appendix burst and i even felt it as it errupted. i just thought i had a REALLY bad fever, the pain was extreme. i was crawling on the floor after the 4th day thats when i finally went to the hospital and had my surgery. after i woke up i had no idea what happened and i was exhausted, i woke up 5 hours later cause the pain killer wore off. i screamed off the top of my lungs the pain was too extreme. Thank god i wont expirence that anymore

I had appendicitis last Wednesday and had it removed by having a Laparscopic Appendectomy. It hurt like a bitch before and after and it still does. But i can thank My Army Doctors for giving me percocets. Man I love being in the army Free Medical, free prescriptions and free dental. If i wasn't in the army i would not have had it checked out. costs to much.

i just got mine removed a few days ago. fortunately, it was removed before it blew up inside me! it was extremely painful just being swollen so i couldn't even imagine the pain if it blew up internally!!

i had mine removed, it "popped"and i didnt notice for a whole day, the next day i had it removed and spent 8 weeks in hospital due to 2 large sacs of fluid due to the gang green...not fun :P

I was on Wednesday., I had fatigue, a fever, and I had brief sore spots all over me. the next day early in the morning I had a bad stomach ache that lasted five minutes, later that day I had diareah and some nasty smelling farts. I feel fine now but is this Appendicitis? please REPLY

I just had my appendix removed. In the beginning it feels like a horrible stomach ache. Then it moves over to the right side of your lower stomach. I woke up in the middle of the night crying and it lasted for hours. We finally went to the hospital and I was operated on. It really only takes like 30 minutes to be removed.

@andrewrk98 yeah I thought it was just trapped wind that i had cuz I was letting the most unholy farts I've ever let in my life. Im lucky it didnt explode they said it would have ruptured if I left it another day. The worst part was being stuck in the hospital for 3 days not being able to eat anything and not being able to get outta the bed. I didnt wanna shit in a cup so at one point I got up to go to the toilet but my blood pressure was so low when I stood up I fell unconscious haha.

Before it was removed, It felt like a bad case of gas bloating, except the pain kept moving around my abdominal area. I actually thought it was gas at first, but the pain was escalating. Thank god it didn't burst.

I was put to sleep during the surgery, so I didn't feel anything during that.

Please answer this. I have been feeling pain and it usually makes me want to lower my self and has happend last month and has happened months before. If I have appendicitis should I feel pain almost everyday or do I have to not go to a doctor since pain rarely happens.

@Creator230 Well, I woke up one morning without any previous pain and had appendicitis. If you have been having this pain over the duration of months, then it is not appendicitis because your appendix would have ruptured by then. Just go to a doctor.

@Creator230 man, i think if you have it it bursts within like a couple of days cos mine burst within a matter of days. its the sorest thing ive ever felt so if you have it, youd know all about it

My sister woke up this morning with extreme pain in the right side of abdomen. She might have a fever because she wad warm. She is on her way to the emergency room now. Does anyone no if thus is fatal? How bad can it get?? She is only 11.....

My appendicitis was a highway from hell.I had pain in the center,instead of the side. My surgeon told my mom my appendix was gangreous(or dead).About a week later i went back into the hospital and found out that i had an abcess. so i had to get a broviac(Or a line inside my body in which i get "Special"medication for.) Now my abcess is gone but i have a hole on the side of my right breast. The worst part is that I'm 12 years old. :(

i just had my appendectomy 3 days ago. the surgery itself wasnt bad, the only pain i have is when i walk or move. but thats normal. but before the surgery the pain was so bad! it was the worst i have ever had. i even threw up blood. thank GOD it didnt rupture. but it came close.

mine was removed 10 years ago..but i dont know if it's in the genes or what...but this time,while i was typing this comment,my other cousin is rushed to the hospital,and guess what??

he's the 5th person who victimized by this appendicitis.our parents didnt experienced this,not even once.but for us,their children...we dont know but it's the 5th time happened and were all cousins.

i really hope that my cousin will gonna be ok... :'(

Im in the hospital while recovering from appenticitis as im writing this. Mine actually did rupture. It means more days in the hospital with a tub sticking out of my stomach. Not fun:(

can u plz tell me if this is apendicitis that i got; i got problem with passing gas and stool; and i got bit of belly swelling, and sometimes pain is sharp that i sweat. this has been going on for three months, is it apendicitis?

@KHOBIII ...appendicitis its an acute pathology...signs n symptoms occurs less than 48 hours..it may prolong in older people ..bt cant b for months...ur clinical picture seems like intestinal obstruction..

I heard a story about an army doctor stranded in the jungle with basic surgical tool;

he removed his own appendix with a penknife and basic stitches....if that freaks u out it does me to!

when u get to the muscle u cut right through, then u have a cavity with a bag inside called the omentum, u should have no trouble as long as u dont stab at it lol.

how I wonder do they stitch the muscles inside when dissolvable stitches arent to hand, aquire a specially trained army of frogs perhaps.
