You really need to refine your oration skills if you want to talk in a one-way communication model like this. Avoid emotive words, use better lighting placed behind the camera, try and keep your points brief without repeating words (you said 'have' about 200 times amongst many other repeated words) and keep things simple to reach a wider audience.

I have no idea where you've attempted to learn about the Venus Project but the whole idea is that they don't support the monetary system in the slightest. I've done two years of homework...I've written papers on a resource based economy, so I'm au fait with all of the detractions..and the opinions of people who don't like the idea... I've just read a little blurb on holodynamics... I'm not into spiritualism.... or the types of non peer reviewed work this type of concept adheres to. The person in this video is unfortunately missing the idea. The constant have and have not argument just doesn't exist in a resource based economy. Her concern that the people at the top won't change is historically innaccurate (see Arab Spring). The people at the top would quickly follow the majoriy just like any group. The reality is the people a the top are only there because we put them there... TVP suggests a complete shift of priority from the self..to the all.

this is not entirely true.. there are politicians (though I imagine VERY few) and judges who have KNOWN poverty..they have seen and known injustice and crime.. there are I am very sure judges out there in the US that grew up in a neighborhood or environment that caused or had seen crimes being commited or knew of poverty... simply cause that person is a judge now does NOT mean that at some point before that they may not have experienced poverty..but came out of it due to education.
If you genuinely feel this woman has misunderstood then correct her, if the Venus project is to become reality people have to understand it fully and find it reasonable. I think the negative comments and dislikes are a bit much, this woman seems intelligent and thoughtful, using reasoned arguments unlike other videos which criticise the Venus project where you get the impression they havn't dug very deep. (I don't fully yet, I have only just stumbled upon it).

judy, i find you are looking at the venus project from a power and prestige point of view. the venus project is an example of a lifestyle that puts conscious-thought process first, an understanding of nature and the universe, and living by those means in a holistic and loving way. the egotistical, materialistic, monetary hierarchy society we live in today is not sustainable and with a majority of the people we can see, have personal issues created from this. i USED to be one of those people.
If you have a hard time believing the Venus Project can work - check out a documentary by John Pillger called Stealing a Nation. It talks about the people of Chogos Islands who up until 1975 lived in perfect harmony with abundant food, water and shelter...until the British gov "relocated" them because they wanted their island for a military base.

He put forth an idea that those whoms minds were free and liberated from fear of change and can conceptualize and would see brought into being. The monetary and belief-systems have proven they are flawed as well with atrocities now numbering in the billions in recorded history alone from their implementation. To hell with the venus project. I like the way I live. Recently I went through a broke period with no job, little money, a half empty pantry - and stealing food was totally out of the question. I simply went out in an area with a 17 percent unemployment rate, at got two jobs within 48 hours. If you really want to work, you can find work. Maybe not a glorious job, but at least a job. So all those with a sense of entitlement here's my advice: Go get a job and leave me the hell alone.

The venus project sounds great, but the one thing that Fresco denies is that of the presence of a devine consciousness, his anwers in the venus project is purly scientific, and if anthing is not scientific based then its not worth knowing about. The Venus Project is a prefab plan complete with architecture aimed at completely transforming society in 3 Phases. As an example, in Phase 3 one of the goals is "Eliminating elitism, technical or otherwise". Who decides who is an elite and who is not? How is it defined? Who defines it? Fresco?

The person in this video is unfortunately missing the idea. The constant have and have not argument just doesn't exist in a resource based economy. Her concern that the people at the top won't change is historically innaccurate (see Arab Spring). The people at the top would quickly follow the majoriy just like any group. The reality is the people a the top are only there because we put them there... TVP suggests a complete shift of priority from the self..to the all.

I know of no one doing this..and even if they could they are currently POWERLESS to even change or influence it DUE to the power of the ones at the top. this is not entirely true.. there are politicians (though I imagine VERY few) and judges who have KNOWN poverty..they have seen and known injustice and crime.. there are I am very sure judges out there in the US that grew up in a neighborhood or environment that caused or had seen crimes being commited or knew of poverty... simply cause that person is a judge now does NOT mean that at some point before that they may not have experienced poverty..but came out of it due to education.

If you genuinely feel this woman has misunderstood then correct her, if the Venus project is to become reality people have to understand it fully and find it reasonable. If you shout people down and hoard the information for yourself you are sabotaging it. Also it is possible that Fresco's vision is not perfect, (he is a humble man and states this openly) how hypotheticaly is this to be corrected if we don't critisise and debate it openly?

To hell with the venus project. I like the way I live. Recently I went through a broke period with no job, little money, a half empty pantry - and stealing food was totally out of the question. I simply went out in an area with a 17 percent unemployment rate, at got two jobs within 48 hours. If you really want to work, you can find work. Maybe not a glorious job, but at least a job. So all those with a sense of entitlement here's my advice: Go get a job and leave me the hell alone.

The venus project sounds great, but the one thing that Fresco denies is that of the presence of a devine consciousness, his anwers in the venus project is purly scientific, and if anthing is not scientific based then its not worth knowing about. Its good to have that state of mind, but there is definatly more to life than just pure science.

Its a shame that today, so many people think of anarchism as something chaotic. The thing that Fresco developed was that he actually started to make a plan on how to achieve to live in such a community.

I dont think anyone is "worshipping" Fresco, I doubt he wants to be worshipped either as it would only hold humanity back. He openly says that he hopes in the future there are no "heros" or "idols" because we would all make input.

You make a valid point and you're right about why the Venus Project can't work. As an example, look at a subsidized housing project in any city. It's always the same story, you can take people out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the people.

If Fresco is saying that change will come from the mind of the people why did he create the Venus Project? The Venus Project is a prefab plan complete with architecture aimed at completely transforming society in 3 Phases. As an example, in Phase 3 one of the goals is "Eliminating elitism, technical or otherwise". Who decides who is an elite and who is not? How is it defined? Who defines it? Fresco?

hi judy. ok i see what you are saying. i do however feel that the reasons you give for the 'failure' of TVP are the same reasons your own idea of 'love' will fail. that we are not responsible or mature enough as a race to save our own lives. there is no worship going on. TVP is just the best idea ive come across as an alternative to the mess our current system has us in. love will only prevail if we discard the monetary system and begin to raise the living and education standard for all people.
