holly shit can you imagine thousands of cores conect it through the internet to build your animations we are talking about superPower fuck yea i'll enjoy this i have a computer with amd phenom ll x6 3.2ghz and another with pentium 4 both always are conect it to the internet , so now i don't need to buy a server 64 cores from SUPERMICRO because the price is like 5,700$ now i'll invest that money on ARENA tracking system
hey all change to fullscreen then press the button to change the quality then change it then press the arrow keys (when its loading) and play the snake ¡ENJOY!.
5 Minutes. That's not bad. Self rendering may take longer but is worth the time when you have a job. You can render while at work, saving you much time. Or render while you sleep. Even though it may take so long, this is something everyone should get involved in. No matter what program you are using, rendering should be done with multiple computers, or one powerful and fast computer.
Renderfarm.fi is the most awesome thing ever!! :D I instantly volunteered. I've been using BOINC for like 6 month now, so it was like 10 seconds to do it :D Great job guys, and thanks for this awesome service.
@AniCator Is it really? Sorry for the oversight. Still I think it's better for peeps to call the video as it is in order for everybody to understand that the character comes from the Blender Foundation. :)
Actually, his name is JC, not Big Buck, nor Big Buck Bunny. It's never mentioned in the film, nor is it in the file names, though, so of course no one knows.
Thanks guys! @dexterabc1 We've been talking about releasing the cleaned up rig (needs a bit more work apparently) for BBB. Watch out for the "director's cut" (with "failed shots and out takes" of the video - coming out during the next few weeks. :)
In fact, the files did work quite well. I removed a couple of constraints, and animated the related bones by hand instead. I'll make a pass on the rig and try to make it work a little better still.

3 computers, 10 cores total, 14 threads, 19 GB of RAM but only 1Mbit upload bandwidth.
After donating years of processing power to WorldCommunityGrid, this should work too.
I signed up!

@Pedr6500 that was a really complex scene that they had. It would take forever on any computer.
BMAnnArbor 5 months ago
id rather just render it on my computer
i made a blender animation and it did take about 7hours
however it was about 5 minutes long
if it takes weeks to render a walk cycle no longer than 30 seconds then you need more ram and lots of it .___.

Haha!!! If anything I find this video cool. As well as their renderfarm. As of now I've submitted my second work to them to be rendered out.
The first you can find on YouTube.
Anyways, Enjoy!
