5 Minutes. That's not bad. Self rendering may take longer but is worth the time when you have a job. You can render while at work, saving you much time. Or render while you sleep. Even though it may take so long, this is something everyone should get involved in. No matter what program you are using, rendering should be done with multiple computers, or one powerful and fast computer.

i made a blender animation and it did take about 7hours

however it was about 5 minutes long

if it takes weeks to render a walk cycle no longer than 30 seconds then you need more ram and lots of it .___.

Renderfarm.fi is the most awesome thing ever!! :D I instantly volunteered. I've been using BOINC for like 6 month now, so it was like 10 seconds to do it :D Great job guys, and thanks for this awesome service.

In fact, the files did work quite well. I removed a couple of constraints, and animated the related bones by hand instead. I'll make a pass on the rig and try to make it work a little better still.
