I met Joe Tobul at Lancaster, Oh Airshow in 2000. He was happy to share his story about the Corsair with me and allowed me to climb in the cockpit. Spent $1M to restore the plane. Great person to know and was saddened to hear about the accident. The Japanese called the plane "whistling death," and if you ever have an opportunity to see a corsair in a dive, you'll understand why.

Nice vidieo! Joe was killed the following weekend at an airshow in S.C. He was a great guy, and my friend.
