  • hahahahaha...he got splat in the face!

  • Do it right the first time, dummy.

  • Haven't seen this since I was a kid, I'm in my 30's now. Man time flies. Good memories. Thanks for posting.

  • This one always made me hungry for plain cake donuts.

  • The part where he got hit in the face with the pizza toppings always got a laugh out of me!

  • I'd love to find the piano sheet music to this....

  • Do you have the draw bridge one or Alaskan fishing clip?

  • it's been 17 years since i've seen this...and when i was watching this i was like, OH I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...weird how ur memory can retain a lot of info

  • If the grocer were Homer Simpson, he'd have gone into the store and eaten all the doughnuts--leaving none to put up on the sign!

  • @viewerenthusiast he would'a said "doh!" instead of "oh"...lol

  • @viewerenthusiast

While we are on the topic of the "Simpsons" I noticed that, just like Homer's neighbor, boss, local bartender and best friend, the grocer is left-handed!

  • If the grocer were Homer Simpson, you know what HE'D be saying.....:)

  • I remember watching this with a kid I was babysitting as a teen and wondering, "What's up with the creepy Edward Gorey animation on Sesame Street?"

  • I was wondering, what if the rain came and washed away the newly painted O?

  • LOL, thanks for the memories (no, that's not a reference to Fall Out Boy!).....this was awesome :-D

  • By the way, what clip is this from?

  • From episode #2503.

  • i remember this one it used to make me hungary.

  • @solmonhut

As opposed to being romania? hee hee

    sorry, couldn't resist

  • couldn't he just PAINT the O himself? hahaha! this is so ancient man!

  • Yeah, and how can a painted O fall off a store sign and break? That's black magic!

  • I think the original letters were made of glass or terra-cotta and glued up there.

  • I thought the same thing, and I wonder why the grocer had to call that painter to do it. I guess the grocer didn't want to waste money and buy and can of paint just for painting one small "O." Of course, I'm sure he had to pay that painter just for coming by to paint the "O."

  • AND for stepping into the painter's can of paint!

If you ask me, this guy doesn't look too bright, what with the pizza and the bagel and all.

  • Well, the bagel would not work, The birds will eat it. And the frozen pizza would not work ether, It would melt.

  • Precisely!

  • @PandaMishima Plus the fact that he didn't bother to try catching the O when it fell. He just watches it fall with a calm look on his face. THEN he gets mad that it breaks.

  • @Pikachuiscool

Like I said, he really doesn't look too bright.

  • @Pikachuiscool

I had never thought of that illogic before, but it does make sense!

  • Goddamn that's ancient! Awesome!

  • [THe P Falls to the ground and breaks]

  • That's a donut, not a bagel, dorky.

  • If I said "dorky", I meant it playfully.

  • Yeah, But I have to avoid donuts because they are high and fat, kazoo.

  • This was seriously my favorite Sesame Street clip. Thanks for posting it!

  • Classic..love it!

  • Thanks for the memories! Nice music with this clip too!

  • "O" yes! This clip was CLASS-IC!

Hey, here's a fast fact: this music was also heard on an audio cassette of "Little Thinker" that I used to own some time ago.

  • yOu can't spell "wOw" Or "awesOme" withOut an O either. thank yOu fOr pOsting!
