it's been 17 years since i've seen this...and when i was watching this i was like, OH I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...weird how ur memory can retain a lot of info
While we are on the topic of the "Simpsons" I noticed that, just like Homer's neighbor, boss, local bartender and best friend, the grocer is left-handed!
I thought the same thing, and I wonder why the grocer had to call that painter to do it. I guess the grocer didn't want to waste money and buy and can of paint just for painting one small "O." Of course, I'm sure he had to pay that painter just for coming by to paint the "O."
@PandaMishima Plus the fact that he didn't bother to try catching the O when it fell. He just watches it fall with a calm look on his face. THEN he gets mad that it breaks.
hahahahaha...he got splat in the face!

If the grocer were Homer Simpson, he'd have gone into the store and eaten all the doughnuts--leaving none to put up on the sign!

@viewerenthusiast he would'a said "doh!" instead of "oh"...lol

I remember watching this with a kid I was babysitting as a teen and wondering, "What's up with the creepy Edward Gorey animation on Sesame Street?"

casseyashley 3 years ago
Yeah, and how can a painted O fall off a store sign and break? That's black magic!
Ian16545 3 years ago
I think the original letters were made of glass or terra-cotta and glued up there.

AND for stepping into the painter's can of paint!
If you ask me, this guy doesn't look too bright, what with the pizza and the bagel and all.
PandaMishima 2 years ago 2
Well, the bagel would not work, The birds will eat it. And the frozen pizza would not work ether, It would melt.
