Julie...beautiful horse...you've got some nice ones...I like that exercise...but,that outfit reminds me of Hogans Heroes....lol...sorry...is that a motorcycle helmet? thanks for all the credit on the halters...Heil Julie!
@wildbill100 Hahaha! Yes, it's a m/c helmet. Have a horse helmet but it looks like a mushroom. She's a nice lookin horse as long as you stay above her knees. Was fed up in Canada and got here all crooked. We did everything we could for her and she straightened out a lot since then. But still off center in front. She's got nice color and good blood lines but don't want to stress her and cause her grief so maybe she'll make us a sound little driving mare. We shall SEE! :~)
Yippeeeee Roannie sez this is funl! Looks like she'll make a nice driving horse with that pretty trot Julie. Hey I can hear your chickens in the background. Good to see a video up from you once again . . .
@Romaridge A *little* quieter around here now Karen... was able to take about 6 roosters to the feed store and trade for some grain. LOL
We think Roanie will be OK. Have NO idea what I'm doing with driving training but I guess we'll figure it out as we go. Play with Roanie and rope games she follows the plan pretty well. Looks at me annoyed because she doesn't see the value in it.... but I do. Hehehe!
New Movie Makers working kinda sorta. It'll get better. :~)
so this is Roanie!!!! i would have a lungline on her for safety reasons! just til she knows her JOB... an so u dont those free wheeling heels at ya... she didnt look like she moved to bad tho... so whos next???? LOL
@getgorgeousnow Roanie for now until we have some real progress. Working up to the long lines and surcingle. We did some of this about 3-4 years ago...just checking her out to see what she remembers from the basics. She's SMART and retained a lot. What to do with a crooked mare? So she's just been on the shelf while everyone else got the lessons. ET has inspired us to make her useful in some way. Better than just burning hay! LOL
@bella435 So you like that hot pink carrot stick, huh Necey? LMAO
Started like this day before... just my rope... she decided to charge me ears pinned and I whacked her on the nose with the rope.. she kept coming with an 'airs above ground' spin/kick maneuver narrowly missing me. "Well all righty then". Longe whip time!
Keeping it handy until she gains some respect. The sound is enough. Jammed her ankle when she landed we don't need that either. Just keep moving MARE!
@joescolors Joe... not intending to RIDE this one. Vet says she might be okay for trail use but we think driving's fine for her. She's a sound mover and want to keep her that way.
She'd love to catch you with one of those round house kicks, but does all right. Just gotta be aware of what she's thinking and stay a step ahead.
This Windows 7 is a BEAR... lucky to get this video posted. Not like the old Movie Maker, no titles/credits, the whole thing is a challenge.
Thanks Dea... she's a FUNNY girl all right. All ways been the boss mare type. LOL
She tries to be good and get along and she DOES good considering how little attention she truly gets. Has that crooked front end, kind of a conformational train wreck, but she moves sound. Don't think I want to stress her out and cause any physical problems... so driving just may be her JOB! We'll see how she goes and we have a LONG way to GO yet. :~)
OK Julie I see you make good progress but still way to go  sure you can make it until the next snowfall...............

Thanks so MUCH for the challenge.
Did I tell you how GOOD it IS to see you again around here?
We were all getting worried about you. GLAD to see you return. YAY! :~))
