Hey, my believe its caused from the solar storms from the sun .
as there is alot of activity on it, the sounds come usually a day or 2 after a Large CME.(coronal mass ejection).

Sounds like a shofar to me, which is an ancient trumpet from Israel - it is the horn from an animal. They have 4 different kinds of shofar horns for to alert the people for certain events in ancient days. This strange noise went on in Florida and it created vibrations in the ground as well and was registered on the richter scale. Check it out. Was on the news and newspapers. People ;were on youtube listening to it - it lasted 20 minutes or so. Solar storms 1/25/12 today flights cancelled.
