I quite like it but I don't know why. I like the fact that it warrants opinion. I like how it doesn't pander to anyone. But sometimes I feel it's just shocking for shock sake without any real meaning behind it. Maybe that's the point?

Believe it or not, I have seen this film. Needless to say it was not an enjoyable experience for me, but being a film maker myself, I appreciate that the director didn't stop to think that some images may be distasteful, because he wanted his vision to be perfect, and at the end of the day, you can't ask for much more in a film. I personally though, would just give it a 2/5 rating wise, but I have a very distinct taste in movies anyway. Great review, really said it better than me. lol

Since he only wrote Kids, it is a possibility for me, but from your review, Gummo sounds like a big turn off for me. Trash Humpers, however, just looks so experimental and different that it kind of fascinates me. I know I will walk away somewhat scarred if I do see it. At least I know you kind of "like" it, but mostly appreciate it, Aaron.

I finally saw it. I have to say, I agree--it's disturbing, it's funny, and it's beautiful in the oddest way possible.
It's difficult to sit through at first, but now that a couple of days have passed since I watched it, I can't get it out of my head--and I love it.

Trash Humpers is kinda like a parody of Gummo in some ways, it's an even less realistic take on things with more humor involved.
