Those are SV-98 rifles not L96 rifle. L96 has a speacial trigger and the SV-98 has a larger clip so your wrong

the L96 and the AWSM are not the same .thay look very alike but the only thing thats the same is thay are both made by AI the L96 fires a 7.62 the AWSM or L115 A3 as the army calls it fires 338 lapua MAGNUM the L96 and the L115 are just the codes the army gives them like the L39 and the L42 were both lee enfields

at 1:50 that is not a l96 you have it wrong. It is a real sniper rifle its the lapua and fires .338. The lapua is just under a barret where as a l96 isnt. Airsoft manufacteres dont actualy make l96 stocks they make the lapua stock. A l96 stock in real life is a solid square not all the groves where the pistol grip is. Im just refering to that picture.

depends on caliber or sometimes barrels they are called differently but all AW series are from A.I and AICS stock is not L96 stock It's just AICS stock but it's used all AW series rifles. inside the stock there is aluminum frame! don't talk to me ~ if u don't know exactly

@TheWombleZombie Uhhh, lapua is not a model of a rifle or the name a specific rifle. It is a cartrige .338 lapua Magnum. and its a rather new caliber. And the aics stock is made for the rem 700 barrel bolt and trigger group.

The "Lapua" is not the name of the rifle or any stock, it is the name of a cartridge, the .338 Lapua Magnum. The most popular rifle that fires it is called the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare Super Magnum. The Royal Armed Forces adopted it as the L96A1.

@TheWombleZombie I can confirm SniperdoubleJ's comment. A.I. makes stocks and the millitary configuration with a remington 700 action is called the L96. What your reffering to is the long action remingtons mated with a long action AI stock which can be chambered in the magnum calibers like .338 lapua or .388 win. But AI also makes short action stocks for more mid range calibers like .223, .308 etc. So its still AI, even though its smaller. Also Lapua never mad rifle stocks.

@TheWombleZombie I don't really get what you are trying to say, but the AI AW l96 can be made to use either one of these 4 calibers (.243 W, .300 W, .308 WM, and the .338 LM). The rifle at 1:50 is clearly a AW L96, 20", Plain Threaded, Standard .308 muzzle brake. I may have gotten the barrel size wrong though.

SniperJ, you have to realize that most airsofters don't know anything about real firearms. Neither do most airsoft retailers. Occasionally you will find some people who have real firearm experience in airsoft but I find it rare.
