@SonicXRulz Actually, as i told before, i had a problem with this Phone. the silver cover was "peeling" (is this expression right?) and GPS was waaaay too slow. i sent it to NOKIA and they gave me a brand new one... Well. for now the consideration i have is: Using Ovi Maps, Nokia N97 finds satellites (i live in Brazil) within about 4 seconds and phone is not freezing until now.

i notice so far in N97 demos, you need to use the phone in landscape mode with the keyboard out at all time, so 2 hands to operate the N97.

When asked to see the touch keyboard he quickly go over it and he's back to using the keyboard in landscape mode.

He has no confident in showing the touch operation in N97 . . .

So don't expect this monster phone to beat Iphone or the android in ease of use.

well the 3gs pretty much makes up for all the major issues the 3g lacked (camera, memory, etc.). the biggest difference (other then OS) is the slide out keyboard. it honestly depends, if you're a nokia fan go with this. i used to be a nokia fan but honestly they're a bit behind nowadays. my tip, go to a store, try out both. and see which one feels better for you. ps. for this phone you rly need a dataplan, otherwise lots of widgets are pointless. lol.

was originally planning on getting an iphone but am so glad i waited 4 this instead! my dad has an iphone and all he does is complain about it plus the camera is not fantastic, no video recording etc. now they're churning out the 3gs close after the 3g. imo i think apple only care about the money and not the customer. nokia really work on their upgrades. this not only looks stunning but it will also have plenty of features and up 2 date media that will match that of the iphone. can't wait!

I bought a LG Arena for my wife as it is much cheaper than iPhone but with a 'better' spec. It works good though with some minor bugs in the software. The quality of the 5M camera is not good, especially in indoor environment. I wonder my N73 takes a better picture (and video).

I have a iPhone and been borowing a N97 pre-release phone from a store to test it out for a week. IMO the N97 is better in every way. the iPhone might be a tiny bit moer user friendly but its depends on what yout used too. The N97 is a better multimedia phone then iPhone and has a 16:9 screen. It has a better camera whit video unlike the iPhone and has 32GB built in memory compared to 16GB in the iPhone 3G. So of those phones your choice is between iPhone and N97, personaly id pick the N97.

It's not the MP of a camera that makes it a good camera it's the lens quality. The only real thing bigger MP quality of a camera does is allow you to blowup the picture more before it becomes blurry and pixelated. GOD, funny you bring up Sony Ericsson, those were the most horrible phones that took the worst pictures. Compare Sony Ericsson pictures with a Iphone picture and u'll see what I'm talking about. If a phone doesn't show the actual camera working in ads, their camera SUCKS!!!

Whitout a contract in sweden the iPhone 3GS is over 10000kr(but whit serious luck you can find it for 9000kr if you dig a hell of a lot) while the N97 is 5500kr and the N97 Mini is 5700kr. Yeah, the iPhone is ALOT cheaper.

Amd the iPhones camera is alot worse then the Carl Zeiss optics on the N97 and it still doesnt have multitasking and it doesnt have a 16:9 screen. Nothing has changed really, except that its a bit faster and alot more expencive.

I've got an N95 8GB. I was to upgrade to N96 until i saw this video of N97. N97 is a very big leap from its sisters N95 & N96. What is disappointing for me is that N97 still has the same low grade 5 MP camera. My adrenalin rush is over with N97. I would rather wait for N98 with a 10 Mega Pixel???

You are true about the fact that al the manufacturers are using touch-screens on their device. And its true that they cannot compete with the iphone on that. But they are using touch-screens, because touch-screens hold the future. They are faster when navigating through menus but when typing a text message, nothing can compete with a QWERTY keyboard. The N97 might be a "copy" of the iphone, as it has touch-screen as well, but i exceeds the iphone BY FAR on ALL other fronts.
