i had such situation in fifa 10 yesterday.. Almunia got 2 red cards in 2 games,and he was sent off..I had an sub goalie,but i used all my subs..so i used Sagna as an goalie,but thank god the penalty taker missed the shot,lol.

you dont need a number for a substitute goalie ---> check the FA CUp video , ferdinand doesnt have a number when he was playing goalie

Sometimes you have alternate numbers in real life (like the keepers sent off may have to give you his shirt with his name and number on the back.) or sometimes the bench have one spare and ready with no name or number on the back.
