  • Saw this band live recently and they make you want to dance your ass off, make you remember why rock'n'roll was called the devil's music and are simply one of the best live bands I've EVER seen (and I've seen a few lol), If they play anywhere near you don't miss them because you WILL be missing something special.

  • i cant stop watching this video. i think i may have the fever. thats the jim jones fever.

  • The comment about it sounding like "bottom" is funny though. Admittedly this isn't the best song I've heard by them, it's a bit pedestrian compared to a lot of their other stuff.

  • MrFitzek -

1 : They aren't singing in American accents from what I can tell. That's an affliction of most British pop bands at the moment - don't think these guys do it so much. I think you're mistaking his snarling pronunciation for an American accent.

2 : By your logic I guess if you went to see a top Symphony orchetsra playing music that's hundreds of years old, they'd count as a "tribute" orchestra because they're playing old music?

Long live Rock and Roll/Blues/Rockabilly/Surf/Swing etc.

  • off to see them in kings cross on thursday , i hope the audience dont let them down like the last 3 times ive seen them. Its sad but JJR play there hearts out and there fans let them down. theese gigs should be errupting , JIM JONES REVUE FUCKING ROCKS..

  • This lot are brilliant. I'm off to hunt down their CD's.

  • Mr Fitzek - you ain't got a clue mate

I just saw them in New Orleans - they are the real deal!

They opened for the Flaming Groovies with the A-Bones - I guess you would consider them tribute bands too if you were old enough to know who they were!

  • Somebody in this debate just aint gotta clue! This is not a friggin tribute band! Fer chrissakes! u just dont get it. Zing! there it went! Over yer head!

  • everyones entitled to their own opinion...i think theyre wicked..rootin tootin drinkin shaggin rock n rollin choonage you have there

  • @MrFitzek they aint good, they are amazing!!! your 32 years old and your listening to bands that are older than you which is fine if you like staying in a time warp. JIM JONES REVUE FUCKING ROCKS.

  • @madskull64

no pal i listen to loads of new stuff..ive got good taste in stuff and i aint being hoodwinked by this pile of shit..singing in american accents when youre british is not on in my book..its wrong..unfortunately records made in the 50s,60s and a few in the 70's tend to better than todays fucking shite..fact..

  • @MrFitzek joke band? These "tribute acts to rock and roll" arent what makes todays music scene a joke - its ignorant fucks like you who think they can just act like they know shit. I bet your intelligence stretches no further than your minimalist uninformed appreciation for music. I genuinely pity your life, music is half of what makes life worth living and you're intentionally missing out on it. Your arrogant elitist values only reveal you as a dumb fuck to people who actually understand.

  • @MrFitzek, all bands are infuenced by someone. These guys choose to be influnced by older blues and rock and Roll. It's what they love. no newcomer bands that I hear is doing this specific music anymore. These guys make my soul smile...and they rock balls out. One of the best shows I have attended...and the new album rips from start to finish. I'm glad they are carrying the old school rock and roll flag. got so see them in chicago, USA and they tore it up. long live rock.

  • saw them at Download ..... they were amazing. So glad they are about, the music scene needs them !

  • Sounds like the theme tune to 'Bottom'

    What a band!!

  • saw them last night in Brighton, good songs, good frontman but sound mix poor, too loud and muggy

  • Too loud and muggy? Rock'N'Roll should be too loud and muggy as you put it, or as I say brown and fuzzy! Brother Jim rules! I guess you just don't understand that rock'n'roll should be in the red!

  • Not that in the red! You think that Little Richard an Elvis and Gene Vincent played above 90 decibels so that its actually painfull to listen to> I think not mate !

  • @sandy50star Little richard and Elvis would have played above 100 decibels if it was socially exceptable 50 years ago

  • Kgrease the only thing above 100 decibels in those days would have been the girls screaming .

  • @Copshootcop74 There's a difference between being loud and being over the top for the sake of it. Their album is superb but dogged with the ott saturation of the mix. I just can't get my head round why they mixed it that way. Sounds like the recorded it in their local village hall on a TDK C90.

  • yeah, my favorite song by them! :D

  • Cool !
