To make the ninja star to have an X shape on both sides, fold the tabs so they are opposite each other, then just flip one of the units over to attach them, and slide in the tabs on both sides.

Triple ninja stars guys? Use common sense, all you need to do is make the dist 8 and pretend the back rotating shuriken is the first one and before you interlock it do the same thing you would do with the first one. Easy.
