In the end, what I said was right. After they changed the past in SR2, Vorador was not killed as a result. BO2 is all about how things turned out after they changed the past in SR2. After they changed the past again in Defiance, Vorador may have been executed like he was originally supposed to be.
This game was ok. But they buggered Kain's character up a bit. In the first BO he was outwardly arrogant and cruel but as he narrates the story as well, it gives him a reflective, philosophical edge. In Blood Omen 2 he just stomps about, losing his temper and waving Nexus stones about. But then I suppose he must have been mad, being pwned by the Sarafan Lord.

@PyramidHead2000 SR1 was *at least* 1,500 years after BO1. If Kain hadn't grown at all between the two games it would have been ridiculous. And there's still plenty of BO1 Kain to be found in his later-self's personality. It's a very natural transition that feels logical, IMO, where as the BO2 Kain feels like he's lacking part of his personality.
Though it could just be lingering brain damage from the coma. :p
Tha's good if you don't like wise/wizardm entalities, and I don't. He was supposed to be a fierce warrior after what happened in Blood Omen 1, so I think 2 follows perfectly

I suppose it could be put down to a Soul Reaver 2, Defiance time line change AND the assumption that Moebius was bluffing when Raziel tries to save Vory (well kind of) in Defiance.
@csvtom I think they probably made it so he got resurrected at some point but forgot to explain that somehow. If that's the case, then it would still make sense, although it would have needed to have happened between Blood Omen 1 + 2, since Kain wasn't surprised to see Vorador alive after so many years.
