I wouldn't say I'm FOR the iranian government, but i've been there recently and the government does spend a LOT of money keeping HUGE parks clean and free for people. I live in California, and we've got nothing like the parks in Iran. The only country that I've seen that has a nicer park is Hyde Park in London.

It was late 60's when I first visited Iran. I am not Iranian, people were intelligent, educated and liberal. The places I went looked much better than some of the hotels and restaurants I had been in the west. I was very pleased. The Iranian poeple brought the mollas now they are suffering as a result. Shah perhaps made many mistakes (what president did not?) but none of his mistakes I suspect were unsurmountable.He was an educated man, he should have been given a better chance...

I wouldn't say I'm FOR the iranian government, but i've been there recently and the government does spend a LOT of money keeping HUGE parks clean and free for people. I live in California, and we've got nothing like the parks in Iran. The only country that I've seen that has a nicer park is Hyde Park in London.

Carter wanted personal things from Shah, 4) Shah was getting closer to communist countries, especially if USA did not sell something for example. 5) Nationalism in Iran had to be stopped, Islam stops nationalism. It was late 60's when I first visited Iran. I am not Iranian, people were intelligent, educated and liberal. The places I went looked much better than some of the hotels and restaurants I had been in the west. I was very pleased. The Iranian poeple brought the mollas now they are suffering as a result. Shah perhaps made many mistakes (what president did not?) but none of his mistakes I suspect were unsurmountable.He was an educated man, he should have been given a better chance...

At time of shah with population of only 26 million people. Iran with agricultural land the size of France was Importing it's fruit from US. With exception of few Industries everything was imported. Nowadays with population of almost 75 million agriculture is self sufficiant and every where you go government funding is available for Fish Farming and Various Crops.
