    Thanks!

  • I cant even put the video in the format because all of my vids are (.wmv) not avi... and I downloaded the 1.6.4 to my avermedia, i downloaded the (1.0.0.5) avermedia converter... why are my formats (.wmv) and not avi??

  • @Trevordestroyer1 Thanks for asking. The AVI to MP4 converter can only convert the recordings created by the Game Capture HD. Please check your videos are recorded by Game Capture HD(C281).

  • the mp4 converter won´t work and when i try to convert something, it says "filters are not registered or other errors". my OS is windows 7 64bit version. for some reason though it works on my laptop, windows 7 32bit version..

  • @Szczepkowsk1 Please try to download new MP4 Converter version(1.0.0.5) and upgrade C281 firmware to 1.6.4. Thanks for asking, please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any question about this product.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone i have just upgraded the firmware to 1.6.4 and everything is going fine with the device. but i have downloaded and re-installed the mp4 converter ver. 1.0.0.5 and i am still receiving the error "filters have not been registered or some other errors" when i try to convert a file which i have recorded.

  • Sorry, i edit my comment. It works with clips recorded before i upgraded C281 to 1.6.4

Clips recorded when 1.4.3 work fine in the MP4 Builder.

  • As lots of people, i got a problem.

Since i upgraded to 1.6.4 FW , the MP4 Builder says "This file is not from C281".

That MP4 Builder is the one released on 2012/01/20 and in fact, for 1.6.4 or later.

    Someone helping me ? :S

  • @NiggyBZ Please make sure MP4 Converter version is 1.0.0.5. (Maybe the old version is not uninstalled.) Thanks for asking, please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any question about this product.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone thanks, but i have already fixed it. I just needed to install SP2 :D

  • this app doesn't work

  • First of all, I really do like my Game Capture HD.

But perhaps in a future Firmware update, would it be possible to consider changing the file format that the device records in so we can avoid having to convert the files in the first place?

  • @NobleOmnicide Thanks for asking. The recording format depends on the hardware encoder on the board. The firmware update cannot change the recording format.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Thanks for the quick response. I understand. While the hardware itself cannot be change, at least I found this video and I'm glad you guys provide the MP4 builder software. It seems to work just fine so far, it's easy to use, and Sony Vegas 11 doesn't have any problems recognizing the MP4 format, so no major complaints from me. Thanks guys.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone In the future I want to buy this game capturer, but I have a question: can I record 1080p or 1080i with 59,94FPS? Is it possible? Or I record a 720p montage with it, is it possible to record it @60FPS? Thanks. :-)

  • @xXTHEK1LL3RXx Thanks for asking. The Game Capture HD can capture and preview live game footage in 1080i@30fps. But if you capture a 720p game , it can record in 60fps. Thanks

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Thank you for the info. And I have one more question: isn't there any way to livestream with it? :O

  • @xXTHEK1LL3RXx Thanks for asking. About live streaming, Game Capture HD will not be able to connect to internet directly so that live stream is not supported.

  • I downloaded the converter and it plays in avi but when i convert it and try to play it, it only play a couple of seconds or not at all. also when i do play it in avi it seems to be in slow motion but if i play it on the avermedia itself its a little fast am i doing something wrong?

  • Hi, Love my AverMedia Game Capture HD. One issue, it captures Forza Motorsport 4 at 60 Frames Per Second HD 1920x1080i and the MP4 converter works spitting out quality HD 1920x1080i 60FPS MP4's. Problem, none of my video editing support 60FPS like Avid Pinnacle Studio. Studio 14 & 15 do not support 60fps only standard PAL (25 fps) and NTSC (29.97 fps) anything above or below this needs down or up sampled to the closest of the above. Can you please add these specs to the MP4 converter as options?

  • @MrMagictap Thanks for asking. Currently Game Capture HD(C281) doesn't have related function. But we suggest others editing S/W as below:

And about edit software, you can refer as below:

    ●Microsoft Expression Encoder 4

    ●Windows Media Encoder 9

    ●CyberLink PowerDirector 8

    ●Arcsoft TotalMedia Studio_3.0.0.17

    Thanks!

  • He i am having the same problem as many others here "filters are not registered or other errors"

  • @AbhiLabi I had the same problem. If you have DIVX on your computer, uninstall it. That worked for me. I think it conflicts with the MP4 builder.

I did this and now it works...And it's fast!

  • hi could you release an update for game capture Hd to allow usb connectivity through computer so you can stream live gameplay to sites like twitch.tv?

  • i just got this avermedia game capture HD and i am curious, is there an advantage to converting to MP4 rather than keeping it AVI?

  • @Bradbssargdons There are several video editing application, such as SONY Vegas Pro, that cannot import AVI file and it needs to use other application to render/transcode to MP4 or other available formats. We provide this tool to get MP4 file without video render/transcode processing that may cause some video quality degrade.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone I see... from my experience, AVI is a much more common video type than MP4. I would think a program like Sony Vegas could import AVI's. Seems that would be a basic standard filetype....

  • mine wont work. i get a error and it says, "Filters have not been registered or some other errors."

  • @justintime201 Sorry for this error and we will check it ASAP. Besides, can you provide us your system information for our reference in advance? Thanks.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone what do you mean by system preference? Do you mean my computer specs?

  • @justintime201 Yes, we need your OS information. This tool needs to installed and work after Vista SP2 or Windows 7.

  • @justintime201 Hey Man i just had the same troubles, Uninstall all codec software. it filters it

  • what if you have mac please help because i only have a little more time to return it

  • @denny24ko We are working on Mac version currently, but it may take couple weeks to release it.

and disable progressive scan under component and try again. Thanks
