  • Yaga Shura should have been the last of the bhaalspawn before the crazy priest woman. Fighting an entire army is way more epic than some dark elves, a single dragon, and one monk. You fight all that before anyway; you've had a plan-of-attack for dragons, you've already fought through the dark elf city, and if you've fought a lich then a monk is no problem.

  • I reckon they should make a movie out of Baldur's Gate... who's with me!!

  • loop from 1:14 to 1:58 (or somewhere there:))

  • at 1:43 i feel like CHARGING BLINDLY ON!!

...This is a game that really hurts you if you want to be good. The evil characters are the best at what they do.

At least is easy to keep the reputation at 15-16. You just need a little transformation from time to time to avoid problems.

  • @escopeteroce How did you manage to keep Minsc and Edwin in the same party? When I tried they ended up leaving the party long enough to make killing each other unressurectable.

  • @KylerWyler Most likely because this build was one of the latest I used, and by that time I did all quite quickly, so the only banter able to crash my party was Korgan/Aerie (and those will be able to stay together in ToB, since Aerie stopped being a pushover) since they have so little conversations to the point of rupture.

Really, I'm not really sure, but also Edwina's quest delays quite a bit the moment they fight each other.

  • @KylerWyler In ToB no one will kill each other; ie that's why Keldorn and Vicky can stay in a party together...

  • @escopeteroce ,

The game didnt hurt me to be good,i had max reputation and it made me feel honorable!!

  • Yoshimo wanted to fight with this sounding around!

  • There's a huge amount of great battle themes in thousands of different video games.

But this here is one of the best in my opinion.

  • 11 haters wtf. this is some epic bg2 music.

  • Somehow this reminds me of turnips...

  • @TheAvatar15 Jan jansen at your service!

  • Minsc, Jaheira, Sarevok, Imoen, Edwin and me as Kensai/Mage... best party ever.

  • Still gonna fight Yaga-Shura, Currelty using Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Imoen, Aerie and my self as Kensai. Been able to beat almost everything that came my way so far, so i'm convinced the party build is working,

  • I think my party consisted of myself (Paladin), Keldorn, Sarevok, Edwin, Anomen and Imoen. I wanted a mixed alignment party rather than a dominant good or evil one. Once I had a party consisting entirely of mages (myself, Aerie, Edwin, Jan, Nalia and Imoen) xD

  • Me Caviler Paladin

    Serevok

    Jaheira

    Edwin

    Jan

    Anomen

and Deva's Elementals and Wyverns, no bhaalspawn stand a chance.

  • @GhostBrigader

did you beat the mods? You know the a few hundred times harder to beat Amellysan the Blackhearted?

  • i loved fighting the dragons to this theme

  • It's a shame Dragon Age Origins ain't even close to Baldur's Gate 2. When I played BG1, TotSC, SOA and ToB... it never bored me... playing DAO, I had to stop every hour, boring...

  • My party was usually Me (undead hunter paladin) Imoen, Viconia, Aerie, Minsc and Jaheira for my "good" party. Sometimes I'd take Nalia or Anomen instead of Aerie/Viconia, but hell, who DOESN'T take Viconia along? Never ever took Jan, Mazzy or Haer'dalis...they didn't manage to interest me, I guess

  • @Hyunkel33

i ve never taken viconia id rather liked my party with Minsc Anomen Jaheira Aerie Imonen and me as Magican/thief

but how could you be undead ?

  • @rebelle111 Viconia is a WAY better cleric than Anomen would ever dream to be. And with the right equipement, she becomes quite good in melee too.

Oh, and I said my Char was a undead HUNTER, the paladin kit immune to level drains (I absolutly HATE this mechanic in BG2...)

  • @Hyunkel33

hmm in my oppion sir anomen is way better he was more a healer for me than a buffer or attack magican(didnt know how to call that) but i saw how jaheira and Aerie fought against them because the romance wasnt clear and with viiconia by them ....

  • @rebelle111 anomen was tremendously powerful with greater restoration, full healing your whole party when fighting the final ascensio battle on core rules or higher difficulty is just a life safer so many times.

  • @kamaszmol

is that how you arrange your party? Putting Sarevok as the leader makes twice the game easier because everyone will deal with Sarevok (and he's powerful) first and you can defend him (I take it you're powerful too)... Edwin and Viconia should swift places. The SOB must be left behind.

  • Would be really fun if i could answer to Sarevok's So, you have finally arrived, i have been waiting for you >.<

  • SAREVOK

    EDWIN

    YOSHIMO

    CERN

    KORGAN

    ME (evil priest)

  • This is my party:

    Me (Wild Mage).

Time to try the harder original ToB bosses mods this time around.

  • Hmm, Keldorn is imo only really a good pick because u get that badass paladin sorc from the red dragon. I most enjoyed my evil party though me (monk), korgan, edwin, viki, valygar(later took saverok) and yoshi (later imoen)

  • my setup:

    (attila) me Berserker/Mage

    Sarevok

    Minsk

    Jaheira

    Viconia

    Imoen

  • When i first time was beating the game my squad was like 4 on 2

    me (dwarf figther)

Keldorn (becouse somebody has to carry the Karsomir)

Sarevok (hey your evil brother? how u can not take him?)

    Minsc :D

    2 on long distance:

Aerie (becouse she's both mage-cleric plus she's good)

    Jan :D

I know its dumb and untactical. Later started to experiment with the set up like 2 on the first line and 4 on long distance, but it was real fun to play as the 'muscle squad' becouse of the greater whirlwind skill :)

  • Honestly though, if you've played baldur's gate 1, how could you decline having such a bad @ like Saravok

  • Since many ppl wrote their set up i decided to do the same:P

    Me half-elf Fighter/Mage

  • @Mavarok284 Ah, the usual dual-Sarevok combo. Nice ;p

  • Coming back from the Marching Mountains and discovering you're too late to save Saradush, then fighting through a huge army to get to Yaga Shura with this music blasting is pretty much the most awesome thing in the entire BG series.

  • Do anyone has a link to download this theme in mp3 please ?

  • I did the whole game with 2 chars (normal diff) - minsc+me(wild mage), very funny, especially without thief

  • THIS IS FUCKING EPIC!

  • PC (Human Cavalier Paladin)

    Sarevok

    Minsc

    Aerie

    Jaheira

    Anomen

I always use The Holy Avenger (Carsomyr +6); as it enhances the Cavalier's passive abilities against demons and Evil opponents. I can pretty much solo the entire game on the hardest difficulty with little effort. And Demogorgon pisses his non-existent pants when he sees me enter his prison. With the build I normally use I'm anyone's worst nightmare as I'm immune to spells and I like the dispel ability on hit with Carsomyr +6.

  • My setup was typically:

    Aerie (Mage/Cleric)

    Jaheira (Druid/Fighter)

    Minsc (Ranger)

    Sarevok (Fighter)

    Imoen (Mage/Thief)

    PC (Half-Orc Barbarian)

Never once had issues with this setup. Sarevok usually gets swords, Minsc gets halberds (Ravager +6), Jaheira gets a sling, Aerie gets a sling, and Imoen gets a short bow or throwing dagger. Jaheira can double as a melee fighter with a good club or scimitar. Barbarian PC usually dual wields flails/crom faeyr.

Had no issues beating Ascension at all.

  • @P1zzaSH4RK wat?? best combo with minsc is his double wep use ++ on flail, ++ on warhammer using flail of ages and crom fayer granting 25 strength along wth that and montiilo cloak his wep bonus is massive ^^ try that not including the ++ on double weps style

  • @P1zzaSH4RK wat?? best combo with minsc is his double wep use ++ on flail, ++ on warhammer using flail of ages and crom fayer granting 25 strength along wth that and montiilo cloak his wep bonus is massive ^^ try that not including the ++ on double weps style.. my bad ur using that combo lol it seems minsc is not placeable he's in everyone's party :D

  • 11 people won´t wake up next morning.

  • This music is epic defined.

  • With this music, the child of Bhaal becomes a true hero!

  • One day, I will play though Baldur's Gate 2 as a magician of some sort because everytime I start a new game I always end up a bloody fighter...

Oh and one day a thief...

  • Listening to this..

    Brb, reinstalling BG2.

  • @Elvis1237 you don't have greater restoration so i'm not so sure about that. anomen is superior to jaheira.

  • @Elvis1237

I would need some rest though... beating the five with the hardest difficulity ain't easy, you know? blood pressure could rise up into a deadly level... but to all the gamers playing this game, don't underestimate the power of magic... do you believe that I defeated Gromnir Il-Khan with his mages and hoodlums with my sorcerer? I stoneskinned, and put on some things like, spell protections (evocation and charm) and no timestop... btw elvis, what's your party?

  • My Party:

    ME(Paladin)

    Minsc

    Sarevok

    Keldrorn

    Anomen

    Imoen

  • @Ghostbloodman027

sorry to say this, man... I don't think you made the right decision... you have two paladins (you and Keldorn)... a ranger, fighter and fighter-cleric... don't talk about Immy because she's the one staying behind.

try doing like this... and sequence is important...

  • @Ghostbloodman027 CONT'D: Sarevok (I always pick this guy)... Keldorn/Korgan (you will have two bashing power) Sarevok and Keldorn know how to keep themselves defended. Minsc (the main attacker)... Anomen / Jaheira / Viconia (healer). Imoen (best choice - magical archer). lastly a character (you) with powerful magic ability... I dunno about you finishing the game or not but battling Draconis (Abazigal's bastard) will be a hell with that party... trust me...
  • @detheroc98 ,what do you mean a ''hell'' very hard?,the blue dragon in TOB?I killed him in few seconds :P

  • this is my party:

    SAREVOK

    KELDORN

    MINSC

    JAHEIRA (romance character)

    IMOEN

    ME (SORCERER)...

when I was battling Yaga-Shura (hardest diff.), I could imagine the movie would be like... Sarevok, Keldorn and Minsc going forward... Jaheira preparing for the entangle spell. Imoen pulling her arrows (like Neytiri) and the Sorcerer, preparing the energy blades with Comet and Abi-Dalzim Horrid Wilting !

  • @detheroc98 hah that's the same as my party except I'm a mage!

  • @detheroc98 My was ME (Ken Sai, human with face of Valygar ;P )SAREVOK, KELDORN, MINSC, VICONIA, IMOEN

  • @detheroc98 "battling Yaga-Shura (hardest diff.)" you dont know shit about hard difficulty unless you played ToB with the Ascension mod. Final battle took me 3 hours to beat with that mod. and it otherwise takes like 10 min.

  • @Perkyguy

perk... don't assume me if you don't know shit about playing ToB. I repeated it all in normal mode (hardest diff, or is it Nightmare?) and with the Ascension mod.

  • @detheroc98 if by ToB Imoen is doing anything other than casting high level spells then you're doing it wrong ^_^

  • @detheroc98 you've got a good imagination!

  • @detheroc98 Seriously?Entangle againt Yaga-Shura? And Imoen should be casting some high level spell along side you ,not shooting freaking arrows ;p. Anyway my party was: Sarevok, Khorgan, Viconia, Haer'Dalis, Edwin, me as a Wizard.

  • @exorder2005 Imoen can cast a spell and fire an arrow in the same round thanks to cast-and-attack. You get one attack action and one magic action (which includes drinking a potion or using an ability) every round.

  • @IncredibleGoliath He wrote she was just firing arrows. And I was making a joke.

  • @detheroc98 why would you ever use "entangle" once you're at level 20 is a mistery

  • @rambo171993 I can think of one very good reason... because you can! Besides, on the off chance it works, you get to laugh that you caught something like Yaga-Shura in a lv 1 spell lol.

  • @rambo171993 There is always a 5% chance of a critical failure. and in battles against bhaalspawn, even high level spells only have around that chance of working.

  • HOLY FUCKIN SHIT

    >1:10

BEST VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACK OF ALL TIME

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah with that mod the battle become really epic

  • After listen that music, it's time to play TOB !

  • @Thunker71

Hehe I am reintalling the game on my vista xD

  • Love 1:44 :)

  • Nothing like tearing a hole in the fabric of reality with my lone level 50 sorcerer, listening to this music and with an evil grin watch as all enemies around me die horribly.

  • @HeliosCore bah! Your sorcerous ways are not the way of Murder! To feel the blood of your foes spray across your body, as you hack them down is the true way.

  • @HeliosCore Ooh! That reminds me: I've got a meeting with two dragons and a greater demon this afternoon! :D

  • Hearing this theme makes me want to roll up another BG 1 character and start all over....

  • It's time for a Epic battle !

  • "You, you weakened me. You and that swamp witch I just know it. No matter. Yaga-Shura will defeat you yet! RAAAAAAAAAAR!"

    Best quote of ToB

  • @flipdrumkip Hell yea its the best! That quote said by Yaga-Shura's deep voice totaly matches the theme of this song while its playing!

  • If you want an epic battle, you need an epic piece of music. And Baldur's Gate II - Throne of Bhaal had several very epic battles ;)

  • Epic soundtrack!

  • TOB has the most exciting musics compared to all the other BG series.

  • Fuck u

  • DAMN YOU FIRKRAAG!

  • memories... this is indeed epic well orchestrated classical music whoever did it whether it was a computer program or the in a auditorium its epic

  • @igotthatsnowmayn The composer's name is Inon Zur. He's still active today.

  • This song makes me remember the moment when CharName and his groups runs into the entire army of Yaga-shura and not only survives, but makes a bloody mess out of them.

Being surrounded and having not much time to win made that battle totally epic.

  • All the music seems to be lying around among the gamefiles. Buried treasure!

Is there any way to convert ACM to mp3?

  • @CrashGotALeppard google ACMtoMP3. Gibberilingsthree used to have some programs

  • Comment removed

  • Kinda disappointed that this didn't play for the battle with Illsera. Still, fukken epic.

  • @TSFF18

Meh to tell you the truth Illasera was not a chalenge like Yaga Sura,Sendai,Draconis&Abizgal and Balthazar....at least that is my oppinion.

Soundtrack is very fitting for fighting demi gods....... :-)

  • @Restlessspirit4

she was designed to be easy for new players. in the ascension mod it restores her original difficulty and she is a ranger that can use undetectable invisibility at will and has some new friends.

  • @qualiy

Have ascension, she is not any tougher...at least for me! ;-))

  • @Restlessspirit4 Try Improved Anvil then ;-)

  • @Pervsalom

    Thanks i will.

  • @Restlessspirit4 Ilasera was originally meant to be a serious challenge but the developers changed their mind because she was the first fight of the game. They have a mod out there where one of the developers remade her back to what she is supposed to be.

  • @BigBadassR

The mod in question is called "Ascension". It's so popular that simply googling 'ascension baldur's gate ii' will be enough to find it.

  • @BigBadassR

She isn't overly downgraded man... I used the mod first time and I think it was quite of a time ago... I can't remember well but I think she is an archer.. a bit powerful but with a fighter, just go right in... mage, death spell.

  • At around 1:11, did you notice it starts playing a more aggressive version of the Jaheira romance theme?? O.O

  • Utterly epic. Made me feel like I was fighting gods, and it was especially awesome because the battls themselves were so intense and difficult. Downright thrilling!

  • WGHAAAAAAA!!!

  • Time to buff and kick some ass......Improved alacrity and time stop....so much fun :D

  • @physicsbugga Time stop and a few Abidalzim's Horrid Wiltzing works well : )

  • @NightwishRaven999 I spammed those things so much :D

  • @physicsbugga Real buff was back in the days when the Wild Mage exploit still worked. Trigger three Nahal's Reckless Dweomers simultanously and there you go, unlimited spell uses for every spell in your spellbook, memorized or not. That's when being a mage felt as powerful as it is always described. Unfortunately got patched along with the "x seems busy", so playing unpatched is annoying, too.

  • cOLD mOLD on a sLATE pLATE

  • Awesome, of course. I don't like the ending, though, it just kind of peters out.

  • this theme says clearly: "Holy sh*t, it's Go-Time"

  • best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This theme makes me wanna fight.

  • @HawaiiKnut Thats when ya know the music is good:)

  • Epic music, Epic saga, Epic bosses, Epic game.. "Learn this as you die, Ever pathetic, ever fools!"

  • @Tennie10 Correction : Understand* this as you die

  • @wXingVinny I stand corrected ! thank you.

  • This just seems to fit so well...

Listening to this while thinking of the fights with Yaga-Sura..Abazigal..Sendai..Balthassar..

    Love it lol..

  • @HEADSHOT360z record it

  • The Best Game series of ALL TIME!!!! Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc. are good... But BG is A W E S O M E!!!! It's Lord of the Rings among role playing games

  • My hamster does not like your tone. Away with ye.

  • If you like soloing, try a gnome fighter/illusionist. May sound counterintüitive but I have solo'd BG, BG2 and all expansions with it with remarkable ease (and fun!) Granted, some builds are more powerfull, but not as diverse or fun to use (and at times challenging)

  • Anyone who still plays this game I would highly recommend checking out the mutli galaxy of mods available on the net, theirs everything from quest packs to complete conversion mods, means you can play this game for ever and never get bored

  • @drawnacrol hell yeah !! I just completed BG1 with BG2 engine. adds tone of banter, really a good experience. Then I continued BG2 with the Imoen Romance, really good

  • holy shit, fucking epic music. make my cry... :'{

  • Marching Mountains music is great, reminds me of the Conan movie staring Ahnold.

  • i liked the song an all, but while i was listening, me and the skull star contested eachother.

  • this song reminds me of Jet Force Gemini

    .....

  • Wizard Slayer. Vorpal Sword. Greater than 100% Magic Resistance.

    'Nuff said.

  • Nice dude, thats good to note! my personal fav (besides the all powerful sorcerer) is the monk

  • you sir have perfect taste in classes, they match my own. Monk is the only melee I ever touched, did not need weapons, like a magic user, his power was his own, and did not need metal sticks to fuel his POWER !!!!

  • lol metal sticks ^^

    -.-

  • Dual class Wizard Slayer to Thief and you're good to go (use all items).

I like Ravager +6, but Carsomyr is a good choice as well. Add in weapon of choice for backstabbing.

  • haha dang dude that is some serious shit, a combo i had yet to contemplate! i still am satisfied with Assassin equipped with Staff of the ram, gets X7 power, most attacks do about 125-150 damage, criticals kill anything in one hit, about 250-300 damage, plus if you coat your weapons with poison, they really have no chance to run and hide/heal themselves

  • Heh, yeah. Personally I've had most fun with Kensai/Mage. Popping first Improved Alacrity, then Time Stop, Improved Whirlwind and Smite. Add in black blade of disaster if you feel like it.

You'll kill anything and everything before timestop is over.

After you're done, cast simulacrum and use Wish scrolls with it until you get the rest option. Rinse and repeat. And of course you have best protection spells readied in Chain Contingency in case something goes wrong.

  • Also, Wizard Slayer/Thief is good since it can exploit the Staff of Magi which means permanent invisibility which in turn means limitless backstabs. Buy some Spell Immunity scrolls for extra lulz and use them through simulacrum you cast via Vhailor's Helm (can also use the wish trick). Pick Divination, and enemies can't break your invisibility.

The problem with dual class combinations is that they make the game too damn easy, when it never was hard to begin with. Even when soloing.

  • Sounds pretty awesome, but honestly I could never successfully get the vhailor's helm without the cheats...and pretty much if you use NO cheats during the game, it actually is a pretty decent challenge. This being said, if you are an experienced player, and know all of the secrets and enemy weaknesses, strongest spells, etc. you can make it easier.... for instance, any major enemy: time stop, limited alacrity, lower resistance X 3, chained contingency with 3 abidalzims horrid wilting = dead.

  • I had really much fun when I met Abazigal the first time on my sorcerer. Time stop, couple of lower resistances and cast every single 8th level spell as horrid wilting. Had to replenish time stop though but the fight lasted less than 2 seconds I swear.

  • mmm memories...on my Kensai/Mage i ate solo dragons, liches, bosses on breakfast xD only i had problem with Demogorgon but nothing is impossible with my Vorpal Axe of the Unyielding and Flail of Ages +5 ;]

  • ironically i can kill demogorgon on extreme without any problem at all but i cant bet mellisan on easy rolf

  • Comment removed

  • @nintendude4199 It's really easy once you know how, Ive been tanking with a sorcerer and you need all the casting time speeders like the robe of venica so you casting time becomes 0 , the only reason she's hard is because she's got resistance to everything up the ying yang so you use improved alacery and spam lower resistance and modikiner warding whip in a constant stream then just have some fighters pummel her into the floor.

  • i do that its just that all her god damn minions keep distracting me

  • it shouldnt be a problem if you have beaten demogorgon, the key to beating amelysan is swarming her with fighters so she cant really attack back. make them use whirlwind, she will fall in about 7 seconds each battle. there is a bug however sometimes, if you attack her too persistently, she actually cannot admit defeat, and since she can't die, she will keep attacking you, so lay off after a while when she is in the Near death range...

  • that might be it

  • i played solo mage, it was pretty easy to level by murdering everyone everywhere they just donating ur way to good prices...then i beat bosses with cheap tactics.

shit was impossible by the final, but I still had Dimension Door from BG1 so that helped a bit.

  • and whats the fun in that? Almost 50% of fun comes from other npcs and seeing their reactions to different things. OF course, unless you already played game once throught.

  • agreed, but maybe this guy is like me... i have played the game for a long time, i put it away for a few years, brought it back, put it away, brought it back again, and now i am pretty much a master, so its actually fun to try something new, like using a solo mage/sorcerer! its actually great dominating with one character, make u feel like irenicus lol

  • Haha I loved having dimension door from BG1, thought it would teleport me places, didn't know when I first used it that it fucking sent people to nowhere lol.

  • Hahah yeah, you just cast it on them and they disappear.

  • This is my favourite sound track from Bladur's gate 2

  • the final battle theme with amelissan was even more epic imo.

  • who? Amelissan?

    no.. it's Amelyssan!

  • its good, also enjoy outside of watchers keep and the marching mountains

  • @kael6956 It accurately captures the epic feel of a battle between two of the last remaining Bhaalspawn, who are at that point probably the strongest creatures on that particular plane of existence. Shit, even Elminster says he wouldn't want to try taking you on.

  • I preferred a more tank party with a multiclass mu or cleric...the memories indeed. the chaos was indeed great. thank goodness for those super healing potions!

    ;-)

  • Too bad it was be over before the song got interesting.

  • This, way better than Dragon Battle for me, the rhythm, the dynamic of the song, the whole composition sounds better.

  • Which ya reckon is better... Dragon Battle, or this

  • EPIC EPIC EPIC!

  • Epic is really the only word suitable for describing this. Well, I guess bombastic works, too.

  • "What? No! This cannot be! I... I am wounded!"
