Is this the time he has realised this? Its amazing when elections are just around the corner kenyans are promised of affordable homes.I hope this happens soon.
@magellanmax I better live in an apartment which look 200% like a prison, than to live in a shanty in kibera. but sincerely how do u want them to look like? coz to me they r still in construction, they might look better after completion
I'm assuming that most Kenyans buy houses cash upfront. People have been speculating a housing bubble burst but as long as mortgages are a small fraction of the market, prices will remain steady or keep going up.
@Atassi99 yeah right! the piracy money is like a needle in a haystack against the Kenyan economy. I would understand if you said it has changed a neighborhood, not the whole country
@daniells71 you r very right but, the big %tage of plot/house buyer r foreigner but not ordinary kenyans, they have started invading small towns like muranga. making prices 2 skyrocket.
@Atassi99 if this trend continues it will come 2 a point where foreigner will buy all the good house and plots. making it impossible 4 us to live in good neighborhood because we cannot compete with pirates. this is the reason why only indians live in westlands and highridge area, who knws probably 50 years frm now 90% of nairobi will be own buy somalis if this continues.
