  • Things that You Need

    A Video Converter

    3ds (Duh)

  • how i get to advance options

  • I converted 3 videos, and put them on the SD card. I could only access the first video on my 3DS. I converted them all with the program without closing it or opening again. I'm using v1.00, so should I close and open the progam each time I want to convert a video?

  • @BadLarryFilms wats the video's stats after u convert (time, names, etc)

  • @SilverWolfZhane

    Time: 1min 48sec

Name: Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary E3 2011 Debut Trailer HD

File Name: HNI_9998.AVI (9999 worked on first video, so I'm thinking this sin't the problem)

    Framerate: 20fps

    Bit Rate: 128kbps

Audio Channels: 2 (2 channels worked on first video)

    Thanks for helping me out.

  • @BadLarryFilms keep the name what the converter makes it.. its something like vid_*numbers here*, 3ds acts a little odd with HNI some numbers work and others dont

  • @SilverWolfZhane OK. I'll try it, but I'll be gone for a while. I'll get back to you tomorrow if it works or not.

  • @SilverWolfZhane I got the same result as with the HNI_****.AVI files.

Have you managed to be able to access multiple videos?

  • @SilverWolfZhane I figured out that it isn't the fact that I have multiple videos, and it only lets me access the first video, but instead it's only letting my access one particular video, and it won't let me access the others, even if there is only one video on the SD. I tried to access the above stated video when it was the only video, and it didn't show up. Next, I'm going to only have the video on the SD; no other pictures/videos.

  • @BadLarryFilms Didn't work.

  • @SilverWolfZhane I figured it out. It didn't like my WMV files (even though they were converted), but I could view my converted MP4s. Thanks for the help.

  • @BadLarryFilms ok , good luck

  • @SilverWolfZhane it is only converting the left side of the video

  • thanks very much for the converter!!!!!! but, why does the video size become larger after i converted it??? was it because i set the quality to be 20?? and will there be some sort of hack or something to remove the 10 min limit??? thanks!

  • @RandomKrap100 setting a higher number on quality actually decreases the quality, so its possible that's making it larger.. and nope there's currently no way to remove the 10 min limit that i know of.

  • works! thanks

  • Format Factory is a really good video converter. It also convert many other things to try it out!

  • Only Worked For One Video. I Can't Get The Other Two Video's To Show Up. Please Help Me. -Thanks

  • Damn. Filetrip(dot)net almost killed me there. There were to many download links and i downloaded wrong link. I saw it was a sort of ware... thing, which was fake. Lucky i stopped that download as fast as i could and hopes it is gone. But now i found the right link. Now let's see... Wow... it working! IT WORKING! XD

  • NOT HNI.****

    BUT NHI.****

  • @7in1 No, it really is HNI_****.AVI.

  • ty

  • awesome!

  • @SilverWolfZhane The sound is weird

  • Thanks man!!!!!!!!!! It worked!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks sooo much

  • can I play 3d videos using this method ?? and why under 10 mins ??

  • @alypkm Not sure about the 3d cause i dont have any 3d videos to test it with and under 10 mins cause thats the 3ds's set limit.

  • @SilverWolfZhane Yes True, I'm going to try it with a 23 min long video. if that dosn't work i'll reconvert it into parts.

  • Thank you so much for this! ^.^ I been using Total Video Converter, and I stumbled onto this and it is the only thing online to read about on how to do this. :) I heard about FFMpeg, but I couldn't understand how to use it :/ but with this it is just bam! and it's done! Too bad it's not in 3D though, I don't care :)

  • How do you set a video creation time?

I have Vista, and I thought I could change it if I went to properties, but I can't change it so it's stuck in the folder for the year 1900 for now, I guess.

  • @Ashanmaril hmm thought u could change it. guess were just stuck with 1900 folder, its probably has to do with the way the 3ds itself archives the files for listing, rather than just checking the attributes of each file.

  • what converter do you siggest to use

  • @boostanky9 Any that allows you to change the codec and other features. I don't really have a recommend but I've heard good things about Super Video converter. Total Video Converter is what i use (as i mentioned). its not very good but it gets the job done however its not free.

  • @SilverWolfZhane Any Video Converter is better and it's free.

  • @boostanky9 I added a link above that has a program that will convert your videos for you. I found it just now, Check it out.
