  • Queen is so epic that an advertisement was about to pop up and then it automatically closed and played the video. Youtube still knows respect even though it's been taken over by advertisements.

  • I loved this song at first hearing! Beautiful, simply beautiful

  • The songs made by Queen before Bohemian Rhapsody are barely known. Please, explore them, they are masterpieces.

  • @Lyrero - Absolutely true. If I one day get a kid and hear something from Queen (except their 10 biggest hits) from his/her room.. I know I succeeded as a father.

  • people alwys talk about how cool "Bohemian Rhapsody" is, with all the genre changes throughout. It is, but nobody seems to know that was routine procedure for them on their first few albums, starting with this

  • I love this song, in wich we can hear some of the King Crimson's musical inspiration that Brian never denied. The first two Queen's album's are widely inspired by "In the Court Of The Crimson King"'s sound and style... and it's a great thing in my opinion!

  • I've never understood why it's spelled all right in the song title, alright makes a lot more sense. Still a great song though, the multilayered "aaa-aaaaaaah" after the guitar break is beautiful

  • Great information regarding the background... Cheers!

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN yes is true i like this song a lot

  • This is one of the best songs ever. I grew up with these cats. I drank beers in RIO with them. God bless Roger, Brian, John, and bless Farrokh. Im tired of the music nowadays. To much violence. These guys sang from the heart. I followed them since the early 70s. God bless QUEEN. THANKS GUYS, you made my life better. LONG LIVE QUEEN!

  • It's good to see so much Queen fans from all over the world !

Best wishes to all of you

  • @AeronDylan SAME HERE " DEAR FRIEND " I KNEW THERE HAD TO BE OTHERS OUT THERE. IM CRAZY BUT NOT THAT CRAZY. I HAVE LOVED THEM SINCE I FIRST HEARD THEM IN THE MID 80"S. I HAVE EVERY CD THEY MADE. WHEN MY EXWIFE DIVORCED ME I MADE SURE I GOT 2 THINGS. MY SHOE SHINE BOX AND MY QUEEN CD'S. AND OF COURSE LEGAL CUSTODY OF MY SON AS WELL WHO DOESNT LIKE QUEEN . GUESS YOU CANT WIN THEM ALL.

  • @larjjlion Good choice to save your cd's lol ,even i saved my albums the time i left my ex ! (really )

That gives us two things in common lol

    My youngest son likes Queen (;

    sinds i can remember i was a Queen fan and will be until ...well dead on two legs ! or something like that (;

thanks for the response and kind regards from the Netherlands

  • @AeronDylan Greetings from Boston U.S.A to you and all my beloved fellow Queen fans.

  • Early queen there first five albums simply magic

  • Makes me so happy to see so many people across the world still loving Queen.

I was the right age to catch them when they hit the very top in the early 80s.

Cant think of another band that wrote such great rock over such a large amount of albums.

Such a rare thing to have all band members with the same high level of talent.

    Together, unstoppable.

Im sure if theres an afterlife, Freddie will be doin better than alirght =)

  • I hope Freddie is Doing All Right now?

  • My LORD!!! These guys are fucking GENIUS!!

  • im16 years old and i fuking love queen and ill admit it to anyone and everyone R.I.P FREDDIE MURCURY THE KING OF MUSIC

  • fecking Love this song <3

  • This takes me back to my teens. We grew up listening to Queen and David Bowie. Not a care in the world. This song clears the mind of stuff for me.

  • Those queers could write the living shit out of some music.

  • @waynebollman Wow..really? BTW,Freddie was the only one who was gay.

  • Probably the best song off the first album.

  • One of the best and most underrated songs of all time from the best band of all time: QUEEN!!!

  • @mercuryforeva yes wished they had played them in their greatest concerts like in wembley rock in rio, montreal and many more...

  • Far and away my favorite cut from Queen debut release. Queen and Queen II should be mandatory study for any aspiring guitarist. each album is a self contained 40-45 minute CLINIC!

  • This should have, like, 100 times as many views as it has now. THIS. SONG. ROCKS.

    QUEEN RULEZZZ <3 <3

  • Dis sume goohd stuph. Me likey spellingh lotts

  • anyway I should be doin' all right...

  • Keep Yourself Alive, Jesus, Great King Rat, Liar, Doing All Right, The Night Comes Down, Son and Daughter; my goodness, what an album! Certainly in my top 5 Queen albums. Actually, probably top three.

  • La mia stella brillava limpida ed intensa sin dagli esordi!!!!!!!!!!

  • La mia stella brillava limpida ed intensa sin dagli esordi!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Queen, they're genius!

Last week, I had to do a lot of things for school and I felt really tired. But i had to be doing allright, this song helped me holding on. And now everything is allright. Thanks Queen, God bless you all :)

  • First time I played this song I had it on way too loud, I scared myself shit when the rock part started. Now I just sit there and can't wait 'till it comes up. Somehow the soft and rock parts of this song all fits together. I don't know how they did it, but I'm glad they figured it out :)

  • Great I was the fan 50000, God save the Queen.

  • really great song :)

  • bellaa...quant'è che non la sentivo...devo tirare fuori tutti i miei dischi e riprendere da qui...dalle cose che mi contraddistinguono...i queen fanno parte di me...non posso farne a meno...

  • Soooooooo good

  • SO HAPPY TO SEE THAT, THIS GREAT SONG AND ALBUM IS BEING STILL TALKED ABOUT.....NOW AFTER ALL THESE YEARS...I WAS 13 YRS OLD WHEN MY BEST FRIENDS OLDER BROTHER PLAYED IT ON HIS TURNTABLE...LISTEN TO IT WHEN THIS OLE COMBAT VET NEED HEAR PART OF MY HAPPIER DAY'S OF HOME......AFTER A BAD MISSION

  • Never forgot hearing Queen's first album in November 1973 at Central Michigan University's radio station. I told the Music Director: ""I've never heard anything quite like this before."" I loved it !!!

  • i love this song,is amazing

  • I love the sound of the first two verses. They're very clean and solid with a melancholy feel. Shortly after, the song soon loses its cool as the follow-up lyrics don't fit with the beginning, and then the over-powering instrumental section really changes the mood. The last verse picks up where the second one left off. This is a song I wish they would have worked with a little longer and altered the mid-section. Even still, the song has a lot of soul to it.

  • @solarDeviant

I can appreciate your point of view on the arrangement but I think it's works very well personally.

  • An interesting note, it that in the Live at the Beeb album, the last verse was sung by Roger not Freddie. Although, I like Roger's sound, I prefer the vocals by Freddie as I feel it keeps the continuity better. The song's basic premise is that in the past, this person was all messed up. Now it seems, that even though this person has no idea about the future and no real plans, they are doing much better. Doing Alright was written by Tim Staffell and Brian back when the band Smile still existed.

  • Not a big Morrison fan but that's a good answer.

  • A piano introduction sounds like an intro to one brilliant career. When I hear it, I always imagine those days when Queen was born.

  • Why can't there be more music like this these days.

  • @foolishjerk

I have an answer - because likes like Mercury, Hendrix, Morrison, etc, are not among us any more.

  • Yesterday, I was out drinking...

now today, my head is still pounding,

    Anyway, I should be doing...

    Doing Alright!

  • I'm doing all right when listen this one

  • Nice Cover of the original by Smile

  • 2:03!!!!!!

  • such a wonderful song

  • this song is the most under rated song... EVER!

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN Huh? I love it for ages :)

  • @XenophMCtwo It's underrated because it's not on any of their greatest hits albums... I don't think.

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN it's not, this song is so underrated, in my opinion, one of the best songs ever!

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN You're right ... What a wonderful song ... In my opinion, one of the best by Queen.

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN You know who else is an underrated song? MAH MOM

  • Majestic, stunning, powerful, evocative and just pure beautiful, not enough adjectives to describe this delight by the best band that ever drew breath: Queen.

  • ..where will i be this time tomorrow? jumped in joy or sinking in sorrow??.. <3

  • Just masterful, beautiful and pure genious. Queen Forever.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREDDIE! YOU ARE TRULY MISSED!

  • @TheChickmama Don´t think I will ever forget his birthday, since it's same as mine. (Yes, sounds somewhat stupid... that birthday congratulation triggered it all).

  • Herinneringen aan 1974 vakantie!

  • @brrbrr1963 Een fan vanaf het begin he?? ;)

  • @hippy00hater Ja You tube is een goudmijn.

  • nice Allman Bros kinda blues rock...great song, thanks!

You have some talent and a real love for music (thats the most important thing)

  • Great song from a Great hard rock album!!!

    QUEEN

  • Beautiful

  • i love this song <3

  • 1974 all of 14 my bro brought me this album. Tried to request a song off of it. The rock station guy says " Queen? whos that ?" well we all know everyone knows who they are now. Rock on freddie.....

  • what a dick. how could you not know who they are? lol

  • When their first album came out nobody knew who they were. They only really broke into the big time in late 1974/early 1975

  • Yeah i knew that. But its just quite astonishing that a guy on a rock station didn know who they are.

anyway, they're awesome and we know that so who cares! lol

  • @broncos1999 in 74 i bought my first good stero, went to a record shop for a lp to celebrate. bought this album, liked the art and name.never heard of them till then. one of my favorite albums of all time.

  • @broncos1999 Then one year later due to the release of Bohemian Rhapsody, they became the best and still are. :D

  • pop, rock,heavy...only QUEEN make it easy.

  • @Mercurystonecold

    You forgot about regge...

  • this song gave me hope. i remember in the evening after a really aweful and sad day, i put this on, and I thought, yeah, i should be doin alright, and I am. Yesterday, my life was in ruin, now today, i know what i'm doin. Its true. Queen were on a whole new level. Their music reaches out and touches you, it gets intwined in your head, heart, your life.

  • I had the same situation. It is my anthem. Then, I wrote a great essay about that song and that experience.

  • thats great. Queen songs really get into our lives. I love it. It just fills us up, in every sense.

The thing is, you can listen to it, and no matter how many times you hear any of their songs they never loose any feeling.

They are, in a sense, 'loyal' to us. The music is always there, waiting on the shelf, for ever occasion. Its a kind of magic i guess....

  • Sokwest- sorry, I accidently hit, poor comment, it ment to hit good comment!

I feel the same way you do about Queen's music.

  • @sokwest If only all people would think like you!

  • @sokwest Hell yes! Best comment!

  • I love this song! :P

    ☺♥

  • Thankyou my friend for sending me this great video, really enjoyed it alot,Fantastic.

    In my playlist now.

    Exceptional.

    From Rose.

  • it's all about the first album. i'm on board all the way through News of the World. in other words, pre-mustache freddy.

  • Pre-Mustache Freddy. LOL!! I'm on board up until The Game. I do listen to the The Miracle every now and again, but their mid 80's stuff wasn't their greatest. Then again, how many classic artists had their finest moments in the 80's? It was a different decade, that's for sure

  • Different decade that pretty much sucked! I believe the 80's were probably the worst decade in music.... but than again that's just my opinion!

  • Sorry dude, but have you listened to what is out there now musically?? What our kids listen to? My son-teenage, listens to most of the older stuff, 70's and 80's. 'Cause that was some good rock.

80's wasnt all bad, just really big hair!! We couldnt help it!!

  • @GaGaforQueen Same here. I'm a teenage girl and the posters on my bedroom walls are Queen and Michael Jackson. Most of the music on my iPod is from before 1992. My parents raised me on Queen, AC/DC, Metallica, Styx and Cheap Trick and countless others. So I'd rather listen to this than the computerized stuff that's out now :P

  • @Beautifuldisasater13 Soooo..... wanna go out sometime? haha

  • well some of the hair metal bands like Quiet Riot were more or less one-hit wonder bands. but there were A LOT of fantastic bands in the 80s, to name a few METALLICA, KILLING JOKE, phase 2 of QUEEN, WEIRD AL, JUDAS PRIEST (which was mediocre in the 80s.....), DREAM THEATER, RUSH, YES, STYX, MICHAEL JACKSON, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, RICK ASTLEY, THE RAMONES, DAVID BOWIE, GUNS N ROSES, WHEN IN ROME, DIO....the list is endless. so when someone tells you that the 80s sucked, well they're wrong.

  • The Works and A Kind Of Magic rock your balls

  • and the second. The first 2 are amazing.

  • so pretty much up to the game then?

  • fuck man, this song is amazing.

i think it might be my favourite Queen song.

  • Beautiful voice...

    The best voice...

    I ♥ Freddie!!!

  • Not bad song, but really queen style in this song started in 2:15 and 3:20 i think. xD

  • I listen Queen for few years. And in my oppnion their best albums are: Innuendo, Hot Space and Made in heaven(without Freddie:( )

  • i'll take the first album. what a classic.

  • where's the rest of the album?

  • The rest of the album is on the album. Why not go and buy a copy?

  • Doing All Right is my favorite Queen song of all time. Mercury's voice is spot on and the feel of the song is absolutely amazing. Excellent guitar. Anyone who is REALLY a true Queen fan Must listen to the 1st. 5 albums all the way through. Those albums are much heavier than what most people know of Queen. The 1st. 5 albums are the best 1st. 5 in a row by any band or musician ever, period.

  • amen to that,

and i really am a true queen fan, i live by their first 5 albums. they are the sountrack of my growing up, which has only been 16 years so far, but hey its all good. means i have a long, long time to listen to much more queen.

  • glamrockchick92. You will do great in life by listening to the 1st. 5 Queen albums. This song is so amazing. Great feel, vocals, guitar. Queen I & II are so pure and hard driving. Not to dis the other 3 great albums, but for originality these 2 are phenomanal. Listen to, The Night Comes Down, another gem. How about, In The Lap Of The Gods, from Sheer Heart Attack? You will do well in life.

  • i whole heartedly agree with you.

The first 3 Queen albums, to me, are what Queen really are. It the stuff my dad played to me when i was a baby, instead of playing kids bands, like the wiggles and stuff. and i thank him for it.

The Night Comes Down is another classic. I adore that song!

In The Lap Of The Gods? That is a phenomonal song to.Although I prefer In The Lap Of The Gods (Revisited) personally.

  • glamrockchick92. Yes, I agree. I forgot to put the revisited in the first reply. I like both, but prefer In The Lap Of The Gods(Revisisted). Great stuff. Most average Queen listeners don't pay attention to those 1st. 5 albums, but the hard core Queen fans know that Queen would have been just a good pop band if they would not have made those 1st. 5 great albums. Great music. And good talking to you. Great King Rat, Ogre Battle, Father To Son, March Of The Black Queen.

  • your dad is a good man-god bless him!

  • honey-listen to the first two albums over and over. Its the best Queen education you can get. It doesnt get any better.

  • thanks...

  • quality queen "queen" material, i am listening to the entire debut album as i am too young to know them (i was born in '84) I really love their 80s stuff, especially live aid and the magic tour, but i am learning the earlier stuff now. Thanks so much for uploading!

  • listen to Queen I and Queen II, those albums were their best work by far

  • in your opinion

  • no its not an opinion-i am god

  • oh im sorry, my mistake.
