2:14 - 2:55 is all about putting the original into commercial production - the first production run was probably 100 or so. Check out E-2046 or Hobby Fan for retail figure kits (about $40- 50 american) This particular figure is complete in its first run and awaiting the second production run. BEWARE: AVOID Singaporean or Thailand repops - inferior resin lots of bubbles and distortion!!! the ones on e-bay are repos that suck don't be tempted (voice of experience)

This aint no amateur work. These guys are pros, probably graduated from sculpting school or something. Talented and knowledgeable of their resources.

@backpain100 close, but you dont really have to go to school for this kind of stuff. You can learn it on your own. I mean you can go to local collages and take a course on molding and sculpting but it's pretty easy to figure out on your own. :) And a lot of fun. Sometimes you hace to figure out how to do things on your own, school cannot always teach everything. Hope this helps!

I agree. Actually, I have taken sculpting and now trying to learn by myself. I sculpted with clay in school before, but gave up because clay is very messy and needed to be fired to completely harden.

But this new epoxy stuff is great because you can work with water and don't need firing or baking like other clay. It's called Magic sculpt.

And yes, it's a lot fun. It's both art and entertainment in one package.

@backpain100 Magic sculpt huh? I will try this. I got some Rock Hard at Home Depot and it's used for modeling and sculpting too. I'll let you know if it's any good!

Well the thing about epoxy clay (2 parts clay) is that you have limited work time. You have about 1 hour of work time. After 3 hours, it will completely dry. So, you have to be very strategic when sculpting. I actually do a rough sculpt with oil based clay first (roma, van aken). Have a feel of what you're gonna sculpt and then move on to magic sculpt.

actually you can buy it now smart ass. i've seen it in online model kit stores. ppl custom build models all the time and duplicates of them are made to be sold. You just won't get the original one. all the title means is that they made this one themselves
