I wish Maxis/EA would have uploaded them a decade ago like they did with Simcity 3000 / 4's soundtrack, but I do not think there is a lot of demand for it. The best would be to buy the game and search its contents for the .WAV files, however, being WAVs, they will not be ID3 tagged if it matters. Sadly I've seen no place to directly download the soundtrack, though it is much needed because my 240p videos are way dated by now and not the best way to listen.

This is driving me crazy! I've heard this song somewhere else before, and for the life of me, can't figure it out. It wouldn't be this game. I rocked the original PC sim city, and the SNES version, and did a bunch of the sims, but never played this or simcopter, so it would've been in some other medium. this song -is- being used, or at least -has- been used somewhere else, just can't think of it. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks! (p.s. this is not ICYTR, but her husband using her acct)

A lot of the songs on television (and some from the radio) from The Sims were taken from SoSC.

This is when Maxis hired good music players. I'm so pissed off at the lack of quality music in the later generation games. Simcity 4 has the worst music composites ever.

Absolutely false...

SimCity 4 has some of the best pieces of composing I have ever heard in a video game. (IMO far better than this...) It was made by the best professionals EA had, from the Czech Republic. (And they know composed music)

In fact, I will still put "The Morning Commute" on the top of any list of video-game music.

this is not from maxis this and the other jazz songs are from the first production of gone in 60 seconds. I can play the trumpet and sax part of this on my trumpet.

I beg to differ. Back in 2003, the SC4 and Rush Hour soundtracks were still considerably better than the sellouts in the Sims 2 series that came after. The orchestral pieces in Rush Hour were in particular very memorable.
