The difference between Armored Core and Battletech is the fact that none of the pilots in Battletech never have to go up against the 'psychic stress' an AC pilot has to. And with the speed/maneuverability an AC has, would probably end up killing the pilot because of the stress on the body, where as a battletech pilot only has to turn and run and pray to god that his armor holds up.
@Crazymike00 Not against my shotgun Daishi or my ppc raven. The daishi is 1 hit kill if I hit your torso and the raven is impossibly fast and has a single ppc that allows it to run in circles around someone while melting their faces off with plasma.
@frogjedi4 you've clearly never faced an experienced heavy/assault pilot in a lightweight. They use their secret weapon, reverse gear. If they reverse, unless you're in a Flea they can still hit you
@jaw1024 Actually I prefer lightweights. I always pilot a raven or a shadowcat. When I use the raven I run in tight circles around the enemy mechs until they start moving again, since it's somewhat difficult for them to stop I usually manage to stay behind them. When in my shadow cat I use a guass/light gauss combo and snipe the enemy mechs to avoid their heavier weapons.
@frogjedi4 I rarely use a Assault mech. I always say that Atlas is a worthless mech. Daishis alright. Fafnir made me WTF. I mean. A mech with a sole purpose to hold Heavy Gauss Rifle. Its pathetic. The speed is worthless. 2 PPCS on it makes it overheat too much. And my Clan LRM 20 Ryoken can just plain make it sit the fuck down. Honestly. My Ryoken has Speed,Armor,and Firepower. It can also support jetpacks at the reduced fee of armor and speed. It also rarely overheats. And just owns.
What's the next secret weapon that you will reveal to us? That mechs have torsos which can twist? OMG how would that be possible? What is the world coming to?

@iamthehumantorch ACs are completely unrealistic. If a person were to move like they do they would have all of their internal organs turned to a pulp in a microsecond. Battlemechs are far more realistic.

My Couldron Born config could 2 shot your Longbow, besides, i would utilise any hills or buildings as cover and i would turn to draw damage on my sides and rear. The Longbow has a weak and exposed CT, its best used for long range missle boating using hills for cover.
@orkkilla5589 I suppose you could do that, but the Cauldron Born only has 4 single missile slots, you could only house 4 LRM10s or 2 LRMS20s, hardly what i would call firepower. I usually put SSRM4s in those slots and used in conjunction with the 2LBX20s and 1LBX10 and an HML makes the Cauldron Born a brawlers nightmare.
@orkkilla5589 Are you sure your not getting mixed up with the 55 ton Ryoken, which could mount your config, because the 65 ton Caudron Born at 1:10 could not. Unless Mektek brought out another version of the Cauldron Born that im not aware of, the chassis originally came with the Clan Mech Pak expansion.
@MsGunMetal In open terrain maybe, but if there's hard cover terrain then i'd use it to get into LBX range without being hit, once that's achieved that Black Knight is toast. Oh and i've killed Fafnirs (players not bots) with this config.
@Hask79 I know once I've been destroyed by two Summoners that used Clan Ultra LBX AC 20 in a stock Timber Wolf. It's true ACs are murderous for ferror fibrous and reflective. Marcus Wielder pilots a Summoner and I end up blinking center torso red when on recruit. Cauldrons with the same configs do serious damage, but they do no win against me. And that's not because the pilots are incompetent. If you can defeat two players in fafnirs simultaneously with those configs, you must be elite.
that does loo like a sweet mech at 1:06... idk but i think that u need to win a tournament or sometin before u get it. anyway i might swich to that one after i finish with my madcat... i just love the madcat!

You need to download the NBT Hardcore mod for MW4: Mercenaries. Another method for getting them is to buy a disc containing four out of eight of the mechs (clan pack and innersphere pack). But the packs are extremely rare and expensive. I just use the mod.
The first one was a Masakari(Assault mech), you can get it somewhrer in the campaign and you see it often on Solaris. The sevond one was the arctic wolf(medium mech), I´ve only seen it once on solaris yet.

@frogjedi4 don't get me wrong light mechs are my favourite too, the Owens being my all time favourite :P
The Raven i used a little online but even gladiators, if they reverse away from you can keep you in your sights no matter what you do.

You can only get the Bushwacker (mech at 1:06) by buying the Clan Expansion pack or by downloading the Hard Core mod.

it's not the Bushwacker, the Bushwacker is an innersphere mech and comes in the game itself. the mech at 1:06 is the Cauldron-Born.
