Why would the Premier of Queenland fly to London to have an ad for Australia reinstated?

This ad was banned because of the men not wearing shirts. Peter Beatie (Qld premier of the time) had to fly to London to get the decision overturned. I don't recall if he was successful or not. But I do know you are dead wrong ;)

The masked people is in reference to Paronella Park near Innisfail, thats wear those people are. Paronella park was built by a spanish guy "Hose Parenalla" back in the early 1900s for his wife. He built the place on his own out of natural materials. It a spanish castle! brilliant to see, I use to live up there.
