  • If lil wayne is awfull (wich he is) then he's nothin' right? nothin' = 0. 0 times 100 = 0. You can't compare lil wayne and brother ali with numbers.

  • Brother Ali is da real hip hop. More white folks need to hear his game!

  • @VoodooUprising not just white folks all people worldwide should hear Ali's lyrical goodness

  • @attenchon no doubt but i'm speaking, specifically, the euro-centric mindset that has enslaved, colonized, tricked, raped, bamboozled millions of africans, indigenous americans, asians and even their own kine for power driven superiority complex in which they, racist nazi punks, have wreaked havoc around the globe. other than that i believe all are one just not blind to the historical complexity of race and power that has affected all our lives in a good or bad way. -God is truly great

  • @VoodooUprising very true

    Im'e take this time to quote one of my favourite lines from Gangstarr's Moment Of Truth- {Robin Hood Theory}

And no matter what we say our religion is whether it's Islam, Christianity Juddaism, Buddha-ism, Old School-ism or New School-ism If we're not schooling the youth WITH wisdom then the sins of the father will visit the children And that's not keepin it real That's keeping it Wrong

  • @MCPolitique

    chekt it out

    not worth your time

    sorry buddy

  • That whole second verse is poetic poetry; only thing that gives me a little faith the future of rap is safe

  • So I use blood and sweat to butter my bread cause this cold world couldn't give a fuck if I'm fed. I ain't curled up in my bed. If I don't set the world ablaze, trust it ain't cause of nothing I did. Listen, I don't think god's obligated to touch your ass would rather live in shit than work a shovel.

  • what reggae song was sampled to make this beat?

  • Darn, even his version of the song skips on every 16th. How bad is that. Fail production. Gl next.

  • @MrVapemaster I'm sorry i don't follow my youtube troll chatter. go trololol somewhere else, i really care less what you have to say, if you cannot say it in a respectable way. i hear your opinion, and that's about as far as that consideration goes, because your opinion clearly means very little if you cannot present it without somehow being profane. Thanks for playing.

  • no comment on the nearest end of the hegemony of your money did not pass your censorship --- think about you are kept for idiots

  • Dr dre ripped this chourus and beat off of this song for the the Game-The Ocean

  • @jwp41790 I sincerely hope you're joking

  • Rhymesayers

  • @mrcapemaster how cute? O.o everyone is entitled to their opinion.

  • @Wannaa66

Well people say Tupacs the best cause, he is the only mainstream artist who had a message, and a lot of people love that sorta music, they just don't know bout the underground

  • @MCPolitique you're an idiot shut up

  • Long Live the Underground

    Where The Truth is found

Fuck Lil Wayne, his music corrupts

people worse than what the twins towers did to us

  • Comment removed

  • @masterlordskewed

True Ali is an amazing artist,

but he ain't the only one who raps bout real stuff

you can't compare him to tupac, its like comparing him to Elvis can't be done

Atmosphere is a good comparison I'd say at least in musical style and sometimes content

Tupac the closest comparison I can get to him is Cormega and that is still off, cause Cormega doesn't condemn the hard-life

you gota a lot more than Ali, and Tupac

U got the coup, immortal technique, atmosphere, and a buncha others

  • @OfficialyVA Why do alot of people say Tupac is the best? He's not though. Indeed you can't compare him to any other MC. You can't compare Brother Ali or Slug because each and everyone of them rhymes in a different style and use different beats.

  • you need some Brother Ali in your life. Listen, learn, and love.

  • macklemore go hard.

  • Their a bit old, and I haven't really been following if they've put out any new music

but Skindred is one of my favorites

  • spread the underground

    wicked tune

    peace

  • atmosphere and brother ali...as real as it gets

  • ur awesome

  • Their all from minisota?

Wunder if they knew eachother as kids. lawl...

Im 15 and I rappp, check me out?

    Feed back would be sick.(:

  • @dieruggedmandie thanks for all the artists, spent an hour dowloading their various albums

  • @MasterLordSkewed - You might add K-Rino to the list. He's got some really good stuff, some of it is a little too gangster for some people though. Look up his video - Holla at Me, it's on Youtube.

  • @MasterLordSkewed @MasterLordSkewed some of other proper hip hop artists people haven't mentioned - Lowkey, taskforce (farma g & chester p), Akala, Mr Lif, Binary Star, The Perceptionists, People under the stairs, Bliss n Eso, Dirty Dike, Mystro, London Zoo, Braintax.

  • @djonslaught23 Binary star! What's good!?

  • @steelingchips you're idiocy offends me.

  • Could reel off plenty more no dramas but that should do you for now.

  • @dieruggedmandie that's nice of you to share your opinion, but if you cared to read the previous comments from the people also disagreeing with my comment, i will ask you as well what hip hop / rap artists tickle your pickle?

  • @MasterLordSkewed and if you cared to read the response from someone who has already replied, he gave you a list, followed by "do your research" which is what you need to do. As for me, I like, some of these cross over, Black Thought, Gift of Gab, Doom, Tech, Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, Celph Titled, Jedi Mind, Pharcyde, Meth, Red, GZA, RZA, Raekwon, R.A The Rugged Man, Chali 2na, Tribe, the Roots, Black Milk, Blu and Exile, Reks, Apathy, Gravediggaz, Demigodz, Busta, Lupe, Mos, Talib

  • @sillydebrae "ameba records or rasputin" i'm assuming these are two stores? two stores in which i've never heard of? i'm glad some people have valid opinions, and it's not a flame fest in comments.

  • i dont know about holding stronger then tupac @masterlordskewed but ali is definitivley one of the realest

  • Man who the hell talkin bout 2pac?

Get up outta here with that ish:

    Immortal Technique

    Atmosphere

    Brother Ali

    Aesop Rock

    Cunninglynguists

    MF DOOM

i could go all day son do your research

  • @csuvideo10 any suggestions then? i don't see many "talented" rappers that aren't main stream. not to say many main stream rappers are especially talented. i like trae and z-ro, tech n9ne, necro, etc.

  • @stegz if you disagree do you happen to have suggestions on other talented rappers?

  • hahaha i always get a good laugh reading this stuff. Ok heres my bit... yes brother ali is fat and white... no he probably doesnt have any teardrop tattoos either.... the thing is brother ali makes hip hop, lil wayne, drake, and that g6 whore dont make hip hop.... a quote by bicasso, a member of living legends, and oldschool westcoast hit hop group. -THIS IS NOT HIP HOP ANYMORE THIS IS GLAM HOP

    .

  • @guy24733 Fuck LMFAO has the hair so now it is glam hop, aka HAIR HOP!!!!!!!

  • Dope song. What would increase the meaning for his songs (IMO) would be to refrain from using those swear words.

  • @tey565 hater

  • This Rapper is Dope. Real Rap Is Still Alive :)

  • watch?v=oG7UzPMPj-k

    best ali song

  • ain't no where to run to, there ain't nothing here for free.

    illkillthedevilwhereeverheresides

  • i don't think god's obligated to touch you if ya ass would rather live in shit than work a shovel.

  • check out the game-the ocean prod. by dr dre to see how this beat is REALLY flipped!

  • @jaket54 I did, and it kinda sucked. I mean it was decent enough I guess, but when youre talking to people who have already heard ant and brother ali fuck with it youre fighting a losing a battle

  • Yoyo cats, im making a 100% underground hiphop site, i would love for any of you hiphop artist or just people that love hiphop would check it out for feedback and etc....

    therealundergroundchurch.webs.com/

  • As much as i hate to mention Lil Wayne again, the only way he got to where he is, was through pure investment, just like Justin Beiber. If he didn't have money to pay the record labels, he wouldn't even have a song to his name. All he has is a look, and money. Culture is an industry now, people like Brother Ali are always going to be on the backseat appreciation wise, because they don't have the look that could sell albums. It's a shame but that's how it is.

  • Lil wayne, Drake are just as talented if not more than this man. The difference is that Brother Ali's ideals, lyrics, beliefs, etc.. are not for Sale.

  • @ArsenalMid13 LOLWAT

  • @ArsenalMid13 just as talented? u mean with their whole production team they can make the same amount of tracks as brother ali . Ali is way more talented then those 2. Ever heard lil wayne without track mastering? he sucks big time. Dont compare ali with them, its not even the same music genre.

  • @ArsenalMid13 stfu

  • @ArsenalMid13 the difference is that brother ali doesn't make songs titled "pussy money weed" or shoot videos with bouncing cars and ass-shaking in the background

  • Powerful. This is so powerful.

  • this is classick

  • @HennyDouble Well said.

  • Dude goes hard but people really fail to realize: it's not always the articulation/lyrical content that touches you in music. Refer to Jazz for an extreme example. I might listen to Waka Flocka after this and be similarly moved. Summation: it doesn't have to be one or the other, there's room for everything.

  • @HennyDouble Thank you for this. My entire life I've listened to instrumentals and been taken on journeys and had realizations ... emotional trips, inspirational moments, and temporary understanding of things beyond me. Music itself is a language. Feel the vibrations resonate through your body and align your energy through your spinal column. If it's all about the 'words' go write a book. No? There are no rules to expression, but there's something to be said about being concise.

  • @HennyDouble i'l not shure if i agree with you on that. songs similar to 'like a G6' can't touch anyone. i hate such songs. lyrics in songs don't have to be as deep as with brother ali or sage francis but definitly not as supreficial as alot of songs we hear on the radio today

  • @HennyDouble yeah but this is rap...not jazz. jazz is about how it the music sounds..... rap is about the message.

  • @D1STR1BUT3R That's a little simplistic bro. If it was about the "message" it would just be spoken word. It's about a lot of different things, but ultimately it's about the feeling.

  • lovin the reggae feel + dope lyrics

  • 11 faggots rather praise justin bieber.

  • Dude is Dope Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • White, Black, Brown, Green.. who gives a rats ass!!!! just close your eyes, sit back and listen to what he's saying....

  • If you like this you would like k'naan. he has a different tone but its all about life and stuff. not bitches, cars and money like the mainsteam bullshit

  • Minnesota rappers are the shit.

  • @pletta17 It's true either we rhyme or freeze to death ha

  • @pletta17 straight up

  • @pletta17 I've been a fan of Brother Ali since "Shadows on the Sun". Possibly the greatest emcee yet to break through. Amazing lyricist.

  • @pletta17 Him and Slug are boss haha

  • I literally made a youtube account to comment on this video

Brother Ali is an amazing rapper, not because he raps about his money

or how many more women he gets than you, or his nice car

he raps about something real, and we havent seen someone like this since tupac

if anything brother ali holds stronger than tupac

    resoect to this talented individual

  • @MasterLordSkewed ---I agree Brother Ali is amazing but we havent seen someone like this since 2pac?? You need to listen to music more brotha! Just harder to find.

  • @MasterLordSkewed Where the hell have you been looking?

  • @MasterLordSkewed dude you dont know hip-hop for shit if your comparing this dude to f-ingh Tupac. Jesus go to an Ameba Records or a Rasputin and beg someone to give you knowledge son! If you dont have those resources, find a record shop or something and stop letting Viacom sell you your music. - De Peter Rojas

  • @MasterLordSkewed I love Brother Ali but to say we haven't seen someone like this since Pac is fucking garbage. A world of amazing hip hop artists are putting out great shit while you sleepin.

  • @MasterLordSkewed

Man ima rip off your face and use it to wipe my ass.

  • @MasterLordSkewed Dude there are so many rappers like this, u just gotta find em.

Jeru the Damaja, Canibus, KRS one, Immortal technique, Ill Bill, Reks, Skyzoo, this list gos ON AND ON

SEARCH FOR REAL MUSIC PEOPLE CAUSE NO ONES GONNA PUT IT ON YOUR DOOR STEP

  • @MasterLordSkewed there are better underground rappers look up vinnie paz

  • @MasterLordSkewed Not anyone since pac, not even one?

  • @MasterLordSkewed (M1 & Stic.man)Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, Akir, (Boots Riley & E-Roc)the Coup. Check them all out, to be honest they're all even better than Pac and Brother Ali, well maybe not Akir haha but still.

  • @LiBlub1 Dead Prez and Immortal Technique are Geniuses. They are right there with Mos Def, Rakim and so on. The only reason i prefer Brother Ali more than DP and Immortal is because I can relate more to his songs. Tupac though is just above these. The reason is that he set the standard for the modern rappers and hip hoppers and none have succeeded to reach the levels he did. But it might a taste thing. Some prefer hot chocolate in the winter while some enjoy icecream in the summer.

  • @awaisq Guess so haha but go check out the Coup.

  • @MasterLordSkewed Try slug, Blueprint, Illogic, Eyedea, aesop and the whole damn rhymesayers crew.

  • @azbmx11 don't forget Eyedea! RIP

  • @pumacy .....he didn't

  • @azbmx11 add Jay Electronica to that list now

  • @MasterLordSkewed Welcome to the underground.

  • @MasterLordSkewed try immortal technique

  • @MasterLordSkewed good to see that passion, I've been hooked for about three years. truly genius metaphor, simile, thought provoking professions. Imho the best rapper to date, big fan of Tupac, just doesn't speak to me as powerfully. peace

  • @MasterLordSkewed since pac? lol, maybe you should do some research instead of worship MTV.

  • @MasterLordSkewed Yeah bro kinda. Look at immortal technique. One of the most well learned and deep rappers out of there. Not quite on ali's level though.

If looking for a song with real deep meaning look up "You never know" And "Dance with the devil" both by I.T.

You never know nearly makes me shed a tear each time i hear it.

  • @TJPesce420 wait seriously? it makes you cry?

  • @BigCityDestroyers mehhh i said nearly :p

  • @TJPesce420 Tech is past Ali..
