  • engines start up on runway?omg

  • How do you do to turn right or left when the airplane is in pushback?

    Great Video!

  • How do you do to turn right or left when the airplane is in oushback?

    Great Video!

  • do you have to download fscopilot to push back like that

  • @stefsd1

It allows you to control the length of the pushback and the turn angle. Default pushback is very limited.

  • Can you give me the link to download this plane?

  • @stefsd1

Can't post direct link here, but go to projectopensky (dot) com and go to Downloads at the top bar and under Boeing, find Boeing 777 - Version 2.

  • 全体的に雑な感じがしますね。

    セントマーチンにはシンガポールエアは飛んでいません。

    周囲の絵も違います。

    知らない人はこれが本当と思ってしまいます。

    sorry is not good.

  • @rinchanbei

    I actually don't speak Japanese...

  • @RixceU

    I speak japanese/english. it means:

    1. You get kinda like a fake feeling.

    2. Singapore Airlines doesn't serve St. Maarten.

    3. The scenery is also wrong.

    4. People who never saw this will think this is the real airport layout.

(I'm still a student, so i actually don't know what the first line means. Sorry if it's wrong!)

  • @AirbusGuy1207

    Thanks.

Oh well, I never meant this to be real ;).

  • cool your turn was very good

  • is this the defualt 777 300?

  • Posky 300ER.

  • what does TODLER mean?

  • TODLER? Where did you see that?

  • hey, thanks again, you are really helping me...

perhaps I'll ask you for more, you give me good answers:D

    thanks!!

  • No prob. Ask away! I can help from basic flying to more advanced FMC and autoflight stuff.

  • how much power on the throttles do you use when you are about to land?

  • Use the autothrottle to maintain Vref+5 as calculated in the FMC (or if you aren't using payware, estimate between 130-145 knots) on final. At 20 feet above ground, the 777 automatically retards to IDLE.

Basically adjust pitch to keep with the glideslope and then adjust throttles to keep correct speed.

  • Ok, thanks:D I do fly a lot Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321

  • what keys on the keyboard do you have too use too put the trothle engines controll to 100% when takeoff??

    Can SOMEONE please answer me??

  • Well you don't want to use 100% necessarily. Press F2 to decrease and F3 to increase throttles.

I fly the payware PSS 777 now, and it calculates the correct thrust for takeoff automatically based on weight, outside temperature, etc. But in general, 90-98% is a good estimate.

  • You followed the right method to turn , Great job.

    10* :D

  • i think posky here is vying for realism since from what I heard 777 with ge90-115b only needs half power for takeoff so fullpower may be overpowered though... i'm not sure about that but that's my opinion

  • Yeah, that's true. The flight dynamics of the POSKY 777 are poor in terms of the power settings. I now use the PSS777 payware panel merged with the POSKY model (which is still one of the best) with a FDE a friend had tweaked to be about perfect for the power.

  • I agree with you about the overpowered engines. With 100% N1 you can take off with zero flaps at around 160kts and will climb at 6000fpm all the way to FL20 and keep going at around 2000fpm up to FL40+...

  • FL20 ? you mean 2000 ft ?

  • He probably meant FL200 (from what I remember about POSKY's FDE, it is very well possible to climb at like 6000 fpm to FL200).

  • I meant FL200, forgot to type a 0.

  • thank you

  • while its flying

  • Turn the yoke, which moves the ailerons on the wings, causing the plane to bank. When you reach the correct angle, return the yoke to about center and the plane continues to turn. To come out of the bank, turn the yoke the other way until the wings level, then return the yoke to center. I suggest you take some flying lessons...

  • how do you turn a plane?

  • very very very nice video!!! I have a question how did you record your movie?? I mean where did you download the video recorder and so on....please!!! thank you very much...congratulations!!!

  • Hi, just returned from my (real) trip to Tibet (YouTube is blocked in China, so I couldn't respond earlier). I used Fraps, a game recording software. The free version records in 30 second clips, while the full version records unlimited.

  • How to turn while reversing the plane?

  • I use a pushback gauge that's part of the freeware FSCopilot add-on. It lets you select pushback distance and turn angle.

  • wat r ur specs??

    !

  • Like pretty crappy...

Sorry, I don't even know (pretty sad) ;P

I'm unable to get a better computer as of now.

  • Nice Video!5/5

  • Hi, when I recorded a video in FSX with Fraps, saved it to Movie Maker and created in HD quality, it wasn't in full resolution on youtube like your video.

  • I don't know... Is it in 1280x720p?

  • youtube . c o m /watch?v=kjTC1W5tYaI

  • Nice video! But I'm not sure why... Did you save the movie in HD resolution (720p)? See if there's an option called WMV-HD720p or something.

  • you mean the option in Fraps or Movie Maker? I recorded it in fully quality.

  • What settings did you use when saving the movie in Movie Maker?

  • In options, in Movie Maker, I have video: PAL, 16:9

  • hahahahhaha the pushback truck is drifting! :P

  • Yeah... errors with playback. Should've been turned the other way.

  • Rixce, i have a question actually about the 180....you say to tap the right brake (inside).....just how do you do that? i mean when i tried it i didn't have to use my brakes, but saying if i want to, how do i tap the right brake? on my joystick, there is one button but that is for both brakes......

  • I suppose you'll have to use the keyboard for that. There are keys assigned for differential brakes. I have them assigned to F11 and F12 (where F11 is left and F12 is right). Not sure what they are by default though. Or just use both brakes, it doesn't matter too much.

  • This video is good....where was your destination? the way it works in real life is to go to curacao and that is about 1 hr flight so you only need i guess max 40000 lbs of fuel meaning that you should be able to get off the runway faster than you did...although it was still a beautiful takeoff...aim to get off at the midway point...then a right hand turn at 200? ft....can't quite remember that. Also, yeah. POSKY is way overpowered...when i do WSSS-WMKK i take off at 'bout 60%N1....not real.

  • This was a fake flight from St. Maarten to Tampa, Florida. I somewhat overfueled as POSKY doesn't have a FMC to calculate loads. Considering POSKY is overpowered (I takeoff like at 80% N1 even with load and cruise at 50% N1), I just factor in about 6000-6500kg per hour burn and a bit extra (I've already had this POSKY power issue discussion with R1door if you look at the other comments).

I picked TNCM to show a 180 turn and some taxiing techniques to use for turning without a huge airport.

  • BTW, what did you think of my engine start and taxiing mini demo?

  • it was very good...i actually just did this takeoff and used your taxiing technique with pushback from the same gate, backtrack with differential braking and thrust...it worked out perfect. Also, love the mooing sound..GE rules the sky! BTW, i downloaded the SID...it is at 400ft. AGL, you turn right heading 279 to intercept the PJM VOR R-234, which takes you to DENDE waypoint on the way to Curacao (TNCC). ttyl. thanks =)

  • Yeah, too bad POSKY doesn't have the FMC, so I was on the crappy FS radar vectors which apparently doesn't take account for you flying straight into a mountain. Which plane are you using for that? If POSKY, how did you donwload a the SID?

Our beloved captain had a taxi techniques video made by Boeing (which he needs a volunteer to repost) which is how I learned to taxi.

  • yeah. That used to frustrate me 'bout FSX vectors at TNCM. In fact, if you play the mission "caribbean landing" after you taxi the CRJ to the gate, you will see the 747-400 takeoff and it actually flies straight through the mountain! I use POSKY -200LR. How the SID...well i just went to google for that...i give you link in your group. I don't know if you know, but in FSX you can actually create your own route (waypoints, etc) which is why i found our captain's routes in flightskool useful.

  • Yeah, you can in FS2004 as well create a "custom" route in the default planner. You just need to know the waypoints.

Another question: If I created a STAR using the default planner, how do I get around the radar vectors that the crappy ATC issues which generally don't follow the planned approach?

  • LOL...i just don't follow ATC vectors....as long as you acknowledge all handoffs, you don't have to follow the vectors that FSX ATC gives. After a while ATC will actuallywork with you as you near the Initial Fix...so just pick the best STAR and then follow it all the way down to the initial fix. I just use FSX ATC basically to tell me when to begin descent...although, with practice, you wont' even need the ATC to tell you that..u wanna add me to msn, cos there are so many things to talk about?

  • BTW, R1door has been so kind to give me a better FDE for the POSKY 777 that he made. Now it isn't overpowered ;-)

  • really, OMG!!! that's awesome, how can i get that because I love POSKY so much but i want it to be real with the power settings....should i ask him for it? or is it something that i can go in and change the code?

  • Did you set the RTO?

  • Yes, I had (you can see in the engine start #2). But FSRecorder does not record autobrake, so in the takeoff playback, it is reflecting what was last set (OFF).

  • very nice video

  • what sound did you use?

  • Go to AVSIM and in the author search, type Quamar. Download newest file.

  • Thanks Man! Love the startup sound! very real!

BTW, I am working on a better FDE for the PSS 777 with info from lzd772, a conversion for the 200ER is in the works, only GE layout though...

  • Hope it turns out well! I find the POSKY 777 engines produce too much thrust (cruising at 50% N1 is unrealistic) and (don't know if it's like this in real life) the controls become quite insensitive as I slow down for landing.

  • No its not.

even the PSS is highly overpowered on the T/O but looses thrust the higher you go! In reality it's the opposite with every airplane. BTW, the FDE's are ready, when I am home back from my (real) flight I will send you the files for your enjoyment!

  • Sorry, what does "overpowered on T/O but loses thrust the higher you go" mean? Like you takeoff at relatively low power setting but you cruise at relatively high setting (compared to what lzd772's EICAS cams show ;-)? For POSKY, I can seem to takeoff at 80% N1 and cruise at like 50% (which are low). And in my landing video (VHHH), you can see me aggressively turning the yoke without the plane banking much (though while climbing, a small turn will do the same).

  • It is a setting in the FDE, and that setting is wrong, it has nothing to do with you!

    On average a T/O on a full 300ER will be close to 98% N1, cruise around 90%.

Also the banking is not realistic unfortunatly...

  • how you get VC on that posky

    !?!?!

  • Download the model package with VC and then you can replace the original model with the VC one. I also had to download a VC texture folder. Copy all those images into each texture folder for the aircraft (the livery folders)--otherwise, the VC will have no textures. Search the POSKY forum if you need help.

  • great video (:

  • GREAT video!

  • great little tutorial there! 5/5 learned a lot of new things! i have subscribed pls sub back.

  • NICE!! say, is that posky?

  • u shut the right engine and kept a bit power on the left one, the plane is supposed to turn left not right lol how u do that turn 180, with me it turns in the direction of the engine which is right is the right engine is on and left is off, so how u do it correctly? i didnt get the thing u wrote in the video when stopping

  • I got the facts from Taxi Techniques (from lzd772). watch?v=zkWPlBLUg4g

But by adding thrust on the left (outside engine), the left half of the plane wants to go forward while the right side is still pretty much stationary. With the help of the nose wheel steering, the plane will turn right. I forgot to mention, but tapping on the inside (right) differential brake helps. Stopping thing: I meant to completely brake the plane, apply thrust and tiller, then release brakes.
