You should wear safety gear while cutting and stay on your feet in case you need to step away in a hurry, other than that looks like you did a good job. Don't worry about the radical tree lovers. Like you said it was your tree you can take it down whatever the reason.
I don't know why my parents decided to cut the tree down. It wasn't my decision, but frankly I don't care. It was our tree, we can do whatever we want with it. We live in Florida, so it could potentially cause damage to our house during a hurricane... it actually happened at our last house, but whatever. I don't care and don't see why all of you do so much.
yeah well get a life. jk. someone in my family cuts down trees for a job too. but i still think humans are over populated and we should "cut down" humans (not really cut down but earth is over populated with humans).
probably cuz theyre nature-haters. they cut down trees because they "block the view". they are nothing but ass holes. WE NEED MORE TREES NOT MORE SUBDIVISIONS.
well we dont hate the nature loggers cut downt trees to build houses and shit and before you go and starting talkin shit about us go look up shit about them
i dont talk shit about people. and wood is weak. use metal to build houses (saves trees and is 100 times stronger). plus im not a tree hugger just someone that thinks that people need to think about what they are doing.
You want me to die for a tree? Look, I'm all for saving the environment, but if I died during a hurricane, I can't imagine my family, or anyone else's for that matter, ever saying "she was so brave for saving that tree. Thank god it survived."
Alright, I see what you're doing... just looking to start a ridiculous argument. In that case, you win, my friend.
I heard that cutting down healthy trees with a small amount of foliage (and thus low wind resistance) for 'hurricane protection' makes perfect sense.
Also, If you've ever been in a real hurricane you would know that a tree close to your house has about the same chance of hitting your house during swirling high wind as a tree half a mile away.
In essence, you killed these trees for no reason out of lack of knowledge and an overabundance of paranoia.
Killing trees is tragic and irresponsible. This country is finished. Just look at its citizenry and how they destroy their environment.

I don't think I could fit a subdivision in my front yard.
jitterbug174 4 years ago
i know. but why did you cut it down (for hurricane protection?)
Mamba205 4 years ago
Yes. That tree was actually very close to the side of our house. Close enough to where it falling would cause some bad damage.
jitterbug174 4 years ago
oh ok. id be worried too if i had a tree right next to my house in a hurricane prone area.
Mamba205 4 years ago
You should sacrifice yourself and die in case of huricane, instead of killing that tree.

I hope you're joking... that's pretty messed up.

I'm not joking at all.
