@SuperPhotoshopgeek If you mean the four circular buttons on the top of the theme, it's actually built into the particular theme. Some themes include a "Links" section under the "Appearance" tab of the Wordpress Admin panel where you can select any pages you've made on your blog to link to. However, the new version of Wordpress includes a "Menus" section if you click on the appearance tab where you can make menu items link to whatever you choose, check it out!
@SuperPhotoshopgeek [in addition:] The "Menus" option doesn't work with all themes, though. My particular theme is too old to work with the new function, but newer/recently-updated themes should work with it. Just make sure to note that so you don't get mad wondering why it won't work!

nice tutorial, but there is a way to edit the themes the different way. It's easier and faster. We have a product that automates the work with code. Do you think our video is going to be interesting for your audience? If yes, then I'll add a video answer later.
Thank you for the video, it is really cool. With fireftp, to login and access files it requires a host name. I am currently using wordpress for my blog
What must I type under the host area, in order to continue using fireftp?
@LIFEoneseven When I installed Wordpress, I installed it into my /blog directory. If you have it installed there or move it there, you can make and upload a "index.html" file to your home directory using either your FTP or else File Manager on CPanel. My page is only a few pics I made in Photoshop pieced together with uber-basic HTML. I'm lazy :-)
@potheadmaiko I'm sure you can find an FTP plugin somewhere for Safari. If not you can just use the file manager on your website's "cpanel" page (Google that if you don't know what it is). The "cpanel" file manager will work across any browser. OR: If you're using the latest Mac, I know there are some FTP client apps you can find in the Mac App Store.
@potheadmaiko UPDATE: If you haven't found a solution for your Mac yet, try Cyberduck! I've been using it for a while now and love it. And it's free from their website.
what link did he put in to go to the editor page at 235. I'm doing my hosting from godaddy and they have an install app thing which is where i got my theme from... but i want to change it up a bit.
@habibbil It's not a general link, you need an FTP client to connect to your files. One you download an FTP client you can find the server info and set up a password on your CPanel page (yourwebsite. com/cpanel). You could also just go to CPanel and use the "File Manager" tool to locate your files, it works similar to an FTP client, just right on the site.
Okay Thanks I read my comment again and it made no sense what so ever lol! The other question was. If I could Create a new Page on Wordpress not using that theme could I edit it by doing that? But now I understand! Thanks! After all I am not much of a coder
@cpcheatsandsecrets I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. If you mean the top four links on this particular theme (Black Urban 0.5.5), you cannot add a fifth link without going into the scripting and doing that manually. You can change which of your pages the buttons link to, however, by going into the "Appearance" tab --> "Links" on your Wordpress admin panel. Hope that helps!
@OgrAdaY Do you mean the top four buttons on the page? (i.e. "Home, About, etc")
Using the theme I am, "Black Urban 0.5.2", you can change the buttons by going to "Appearance" --> "Links" on your admin panel. However, without scripting you can only change the links to other pages you have on your blog. Meaning you can't make one a link to an outside website like Google or something.
@coolioman9606 do you know how to change that with a script? cuz i made a banner for the top that i want to link to my youtube channel, facebook, and twitter. and im having lots of troublemaking links. if you could help me that would be fantastic. feel free to msg me.
I have few questions...what abt changing the top Tabs (dont know what technically they are called) i.e HOME ABOUT CONTACT.....how to add a new one or rename an excisting one??
For MY theme (Black Urban)... on your WP dashboard on the left side, go to the "Appearance" tab then the "Links". From there you can change which links go to which pages.
To ADD pages you can link to, go to your "Pages" tab and then to "Add New". After you create the page you can change one of the links to it. I think that's what you're talking about?
Or you can "Edit" your pages, of courses. I'm actually kinda wondering how to link one of the top tab links to a different url that ISN'T one of your pages. I can't find a way atm, but if you figure out a way feel free to share it with me! :P
ur funny man thanks for this. gotta quick question. how did u hyperlink the buttons ?

@amasweetie1 @amasweetie1 You can view some documentation on your question here: en.support.wordpress[dot]com/com-vs-org/
Is your blog hosted by Wordpress, or did you install Wordpress to your domain using a hosting site (like GoDaddy or BlueHost)?
