There was a piece on BBC radio about this today. These are just wild carp who turn up to get fed. There's no cruelty involved, it's a natural phenomenon.
Really these carp are not stuck. What the video doesn't show is that when they manage to make their way out of that bowl area (not by going back up) they swim away into the other side of the lake. Carp are gross anyway.
Wondering how many you'd hit with the same arrow! XD But honestly I wouldn't pull arrows on them, crowded like that they don't have a chance. It's literally fish in a barrel!
I can't tell, is this the native or the invasive/introduced species?

i love visiting here i live in andover, i saw a bald eagle once there at the wildlife center and once i saw a carp suck in a seagull's foot...NOT LIEING!

The Spillway was looking very good when I visited - they were on their way to finishing the renovations. Yay - running water toilets!
