Supermac, better than modern politicos arguably, certainly less glitzy but do remember he was a slick operator. When it came to backroom politics he was slimy, two-faced and double-dealing. Up there with Harold Wilson for post-war powermongering, doens't make him a bad guy by political standards though -Q
These clips are fascinating, from the historical as well as political point of view. And how refreshing to see politics conducted without the hollow political marketing and posturing we suffer from today. Good old Supermac!
