Remixed version (at least the second remix). The original on the LP was far more guitar-oriented and "live" sounding. This is more processed and dance-floor oriented.
saw them in the 80's at the Commodore which had every punk act and new wave etc -- Vancouver, BC Canada -- it was the BEST of times -- amazing concert -- U2 played there as well, not a big venue, the Stranglers, Lene Lovich, Nina Hagen, Buzzcocks, OMD it was INCREDIBLE -- now we have Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus -- dear god
just for the atmosphere i love "vienna" but i like this song because it's wonder ful. and midge's voice the voice from hell. love that mr ure truely maddly deeply.
saw them live 1982 at the appollo (rip) in glasgow and they were absolutely brilliant. They was more them and us as apposed to now bouncers and crew inbetween. Was more tangible with the group.
My favourite Ultravox track and one of my favourite records for 1981. As I sit here watching this I've worked out the guitar riffs and chords and am now working out the second guitar solo.
Grief! I got goosebumps. Haven't heard this for years. (Forgot about the reggae bit about 4.07!) Wouldn't credit this was produced by the same guy who, I believe, did Kraftwerk !
what happened to days of clear vinyl eh. i was in my teens when the vox were around 1st time. used to spend £1.50 every weekend to get two of the latest singles in the charts, this being one of them. brilliant....
I don't know but I think I just heard one that was some what new. Am I tripping are what? The sound really does some thing to my brain. A good feeling.

No sound is wasted. Grandiose and pretentious, yet all the better for it. If my brain were to be recorded, I hope this would be on the soundtrack.

This IS the 12" Version. It has a longer intro than the one featured on the Vienna album.
