  • @holtek86... LOL

  • British cars got a bad rap in reliability for a few reasons - electrical issues & carb issues. The MGB (I'm not intimately familiar with other British cars) wiring harness takes a torturous path, & has few fuses, which often resulted in faulty grounds and harnesses burning up. With the carb issues, most people just weren't familiar enough with SU's to know how to properly tune and maintain them - most who say they never stay in tune have worn carbs with air leaks (bad throttle bushings, etc)

  • @TPS5150 you have a valid point, but most replacement parts from reputable manufactures ie MOSS have upgraded things like the bushes from rubber to polyurethane and the wiring harness is improved with better quality insulation.

  • They used two cars for this. The first chute mal-fubctioned an the car was scrap lol.

  • Yer we have an mgb as well and its pretty reliable starting wise but dont drive it through any puddles!

  • Never had any maintenance issue with my MGB. I've owned it since new (1975), and knew how to take care of it.

  • I dont know where this idea of MGs being unreliable comes from. Mine never lets me down and I use it every day. Sure, it needs more maintenance than modern cars, but its 30 years old! How many modern cars will be around in 30 years in daily use. None I suspect. Those B series engines were indestructible.

  • sweet. I suppose all the other mgs came out of planes??? lol AND THEY ALL STARTED!!! wow. lol

  • it would have been better if he'd landed in the car lol.

  • So you've seen the 1960s movie "What's New Pussycat"!

    ;o)

  • What a fun but meaningless advertisment.

  • The TRULY amazing part of this video is that the car actually started.

  • haha, I know that feeling
