Well space tech has played a great role in India's progress. If we had not invested in space research we wouldnt be prospering now. like mineral resouce imaging and weather forecasting has helped a lot in agriculture

all preaching for poor ppl top it! a small sum of money was put in this project. the technologyu bll be useful to india and in return ll land more projects and hence more money, which ll be used for upliftment of poor! India has 70% poor ppl when it got independence. Now it has 26% and also the population has doubled! Every country has poor ppl. In 60 and 70s western countries were in space race. Didnt they have poor ppl at tht time?Technology is empowerment which will help our ppl!

hey JaiBajrang...its not abt snatching bread n butter from the poor, a nation should evolve in every aspect, otherwise there won't be difference between India and Afghanistan...there are resources and ppl allocated to handle poverty in the country...if they are screwing up and filling their pockets that is grossly bad... but under this pretext u can't stop the scientific developments that spear heads a nation's progress...try to see positivity in positive aspects of life.

To feed the poor you need money, to earn money you need to sell goods, To sell goods you need competitive edge(better Tech and lower cost). And better Tech is developed thru advanced scientific projects like these. Diskless Hard-drive was first developed for Space then used for Military and now entering commercial laptops.

Feed the poor unconditionally and they will not even want to come out of poverty.

may b you should get some education and get your facts right 1st..in 2007 27% of indians were living below poverty line which has come down considerably compared to the last decade..there is abject poverty in usa too..why is it wasting trillions every yr in iraq..at least india is putting the money to better use..
