That was a good shot. Wally was on the floor to take jump shots. He got an open look and took the shot. Absolutely the right thing to do. Otherwise you're just hoping to run out the clock.

A rule I learned from reading Coach K's first book is that when you get a good shot you better take it. If you pass on it, odds are the defense catches up and the shot you end up with is way worse.

If PJ didn't want the shot w/ 11 seconds left he should have called for the play to start later. Duh.

I can see PJ being upset, because Wally took a shot early in the shot clock, late in the game while having a small lead. You want to milk the clock late in the fourth quarter. However, he screams on everything. You don't treat men like little children. Pat Riley will, not as demonstrative, say his piece and then park your ass on the bench. That is more effective than PJs screaming. Sure, he got on John Starks, but in a more effective way where he didn't just go around screaming.

Confusing - I guess the point is PJ sucks and so does the team? As for Wally's shot - that was a good look and he should have taken that. Next time you watch a game, chart the team's success when they pass on a good shot (not for a better one, but just clock management) - it doesn't work well.
