It is not just about boy friend but also girl friend. When both have mutual interest in fulfilling their lust (not just one of them), they are willing to do anything and even as frequent as it will be. We need to teach or warn them about how serious is God's call to holiness. We have to fight our sinful lusts, not just sex but towards anything. But, the worst and special result is sex sin! There are many more theological materials that are biblically correct regarding chastity and sexual purity. You can look for them at Amazon because I purchased a several theological books there already. Just be careful that the messages the books give don't clash with the Word of God.
Another mistake my made was focusing too much on the physical dangers that could happen to you such as STD's, when I believe they should have put as much emphasis on the emotional dangers that could happen to you as well as the physical risks.
I grew up in an era when people were saying sex is so cool and if you don't have it, then you're a square. Peer pressure was part of why I did it, but also because I was never close with my dad. I believe another mistake my generation did was focus to much on the physical fun and making it seem as if sex is the only way you fall in love.
Before I became a Christian, I lost my virginity to premarital sex and I look back on it and I regret not saving myself for marriage. Of course God has forgiven me of my past promiscuity and because of his grace, I never became pregnant or caught HIV, but the emotional hurt is still there. First of all, sex is no big deal, everybody just puts to much hype into it. Second of all, I think schools and adults should teach our children the pain sex has on our feeling, not only the physical pain.

I just pondered on the idea that I might be able to become an advocate for former fornicators and to send a message to this generation to refer to the consequences of the trauma with hurt feelings along with the consequences of the trauma with hurt health. Grown ups should remember to educate our youths about the emotional suffering they could endure from sex before marriage. Believe me, to this day my emotions are still injured by my past seductive lifestyle.
@jbdream3 I have 3 normal teens.We homeshool them and they are normal and well grounded in the Word.They do not date and they are not wierd.They will wait till marriage.They are virgins and want to stay pure.We discuss these issues all the time.If parents do not teach and guide them this wicked world will.

@jbdream3 My three teens are very social and enjoy fellowship with good ,godly teens.Friendships and getting to know ones character in the teen years is important.Pairing off as a couple when you are a teens can lead down the wrong road.Since most will get married in their twenties they just need time to grow and mature as teens and not feel the pressure to date.

That may be farfetched, since adults know the ropes in life better then teens because of the length of time the two age groups are at. However, you'd be surprised how many grown ups engage in immoral activities and it's not just non Christians who are at fault but Christians too. I knew married couples who came from strong religious households and one of them cheated on the other.

@aflame4God Oh, I just remembered another bit of info and that is, this Christian woman I knew a couple of years ago who was divorced from her ex husband, who happened to be a full time preacher and he had an affair with another woman. It turns out that he'd been having multiple adulterous escapades, not only that one night stand.
@aflame4God I also knew a single Christian guy who had Christian parents and he had a daughter out of wedlock. So, what's the difference? Nobody is immune to sin. So, why does your daughters' ages matter in order to date now or later on? I'm sure you know that there's no set age to date or marry, although people are getting married a lot later then they used in their lives. Nobody has any control over mother nature, it just happens whether you're 16 years or 75 years old.

There are plenty of things wrong with one-on-one dating when you are nowhere near the age and maturity to get married.

Thank you for making this video. I gave up my baby for adoption when I was 18 and it was an experience that dramatically changed my life. My son is now almost 15 and I chose the adoptive family and we have a very open relationship including visits. I cannot tell you what a blessing it is to know that God changed a scary situation into something beautiful and wonderful. @aflame4God I believe that more than any other factor, the "sexual revolution" sent us into a downward spiral in our country - our culture was poisoned when we took sex out of marriage and out of God's will for creating children. Instead we stopped ourselves from having children and legalized murder so that even if we created children we could then murder them and go on sinning. The best way to resist sexual sin is to have a vision of holy and glorius God by reading His Word and prayer to get close with Christ. Sexual sins are devastating in their effects but I think they're largely concequenses of other sins in the heart. Lust is the obviously the biggest contributor. But fornication can be also a manifestation of pride or the want for glory of men. Your ego gets puffed up with many sexual partners or you just want to fit in the culture and not look like a wimp by having sex.

I'm 22 and still a virgin without doing any other sexual sin. In the physical aspect so far so good. However, the thought life is so hard. My mind is so much filled with sexual thoughts its killing me.

Sexuality is beautifull and natural when we are propperly educated not shamed about it.

This is so true, we have to abstain from sexual lust and the practices of it. I am a virgin and would remain a virgin until I get married. I will admit that it is hard at times dealing with remaining pure, but the bible says to flee from youthful lusts. Satan has deceived many people by causing them to compromise their standards.

Before I became a Christian, I lost my virginity to premarital sex and I look back on it and I regret not saving myself for marriage. Of course God has forgiven me of my past promiscuity and because of his grace, I never became pregnant or caught HIV, but the emotional hurt is still there. First of all, sex is no big deal, everybody just puts to much hype into it. Second of all, I think schools and adults should teach our children the pain sex has on our feeling, not only the physical pain.

However, you'd be surprised how many grown ups engage in immoral activities and it's not just non Christians who are at fault but Christians too. I knew married couples who came from strong religious households and one of them cheated on the other.

So, why does your daughters' ages matter in order to date now or later on? I'm sure you know that there's no set age to date or marry, although people are getting married a lot later then they used in their lives. Nobody has any control over mother nature, it just happens whether you're 16 years or 75 years old.

I'm a virgin and proud of it. But purity isn't virginity. People can be virgins and not pure! Purity goes beyond the body to the heart, mind, and soul. It matters what we look at, read, watch, and think about. The heart follows the eyes! Sexuality -- body, mind, heart, soul -- is God's gift we give to our spouse on our wedding night. Why do I say all this? Purity is where I've failed. I know what it is to be addicted to lust. But Jesus is setting me free! :D

Unfortunately, the airwaves are rife with sexual suggestions that start as soon as a child starts watching T.V. movies or listening to music. The vast majority of the worlds children are exposed to sexual desires at far too young an age to be able to effectively resist it. Parents need to censor what their children are exposed to and when the child is old enough to understand, they need to explain to them what is really going on in this world. The Truth is the Way to the Life.

What many people don't realize is that once you have polluted your body and mind with illicit sex, you CAN NEVER return to purity in the same way. Yes, you can re-dedicate your life to Christ, but if you have formed a relationship from living together, you will NEVER EVER have the same respect and esteem of your spouse that you would have had if you were pure when you came together. Choices that are made from what the world says is right will always harm the Christian.

When you are reborn, your sins are washed away. Maybe physically you can't undo what you did, but spiritually you've been renewed. I don't mean that your salvation is in question, of course once you repent and confess, God is merciful to forgive, the blood of Christ covers all sin. it is the choices that we make in our lives that can't always be undone. I was married after shacking up with my husband and I would not do that now, it is not the bond that God wants us to form, yet here we are, 20 years later. I will never be able to re-create that respect in my husband.

Thank you for making this video. I gave up my baby for adoption when I was 18 and it was an experience that dramatically changed my life. My son is now almost 15 and I chose the adoptive family and we have a very open relationship including visits. I cannot tell you what a blessing it is to know that God changed a scary situation into something beautiful and wonderful. If anyone ever finds themselves in the scary situation of unexpected pregnancy, there is hope. Trust God

@aflame4God I believe that more than any other factor, the "sexual revolution" sent us into a downward spiral in our country - our culture was poisoned when we took sex out of marriage and out of God's will for creating children. Instead we stopped ourselves from having children and legalized murder so that even if we created children we could then murder them and go on sinning. Sex means pain outside of marriage, it kills the soul and leads to further sin.

It is what I tried to put across to my sons, that respecting yourself and your female friends means that you stay chaste until marriage. Sex belongs in the marriage relationship, once you have taken vows it is a beautiful gift meant only for your spouse. Young people who have random sex before marriage have given their gift to people who don't cherish them.

The best way to resist sexual sin is to have a vision of holy and glorius God by reading His Word and prayer to get close with Christ. Jesus offers a deep relatioship to all true Christians and spiritual intimacy that is often in the Word compared to a marriage between man and woman. We can go to the Lord and ask that He would fill our longings to be with in a deep and meaningful intimacy with someone.
As the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

Sexual sins are devastating in their effects but I think they're largely concequenses of other sins in the heart. Lust is the obviously the biggest contributor. But fornication can be also a manifestation of pride or the want for glory of men. Your ego gets puffed up with many sexual partners or you just want to fit in the culture and not look like a wimp by having sex.

lol thats a good question, but i would say pretty much the same as you, we both need special care. but i think that as long as you keep FAITH IN THE FATHER, HE WILL NEVER LET TEMPTATION GET THE BEST OF YOU, for example before i decided to remain a virgin, i was in many situations where i was about to go all the way, n but OUR HEAVENLY FATHER always showed me a way out of temptation. he takes care of those who truly have a relationship with him. FIVE stars! This is awesome. Every teenager needs to see this...Teens need to keep themselves pure for marriage, it's such a waste to mess up your life in this way. Obeying God is the most important thing a person can do and he commands us to stay pure. I mean, look at all the terrible consequences that will happen.
