there are lots of factors that can make weight loss more difficult for a certain person.. abdominal weight gain, a pre-disposition to insulin resistance, etc.. in response to vikisil - there were only a small percentage that survived... maybe it was those with the slower metabolism... don't get me wrong.. Everyone can get to a healthy weight - but its a lot easier for some than others.
Well there were a lot of people in the German Nazi and Soviet concentration camps. Millions of people. Yet none of them were fat. Out of millions not single one of them. So, it must be justified that there is no such "I must be fa whatever I eat or don't eat" gene. That's just an excuse. But people who have that gene probably have the laziness gene too.
