He turns it on at 5:34 . It takes until 6:20 to boot + another 5 secs to load WinCE + more time to load the eReader app. So, about a minute in total to start up. By comparison my Kindle takes 2 seconds from when I flip the power switch to when the page of the book I was reading appears on screen. So that makes the Kindle 30x faster than this POS.
Love this item. I bought it and it's totally open source platform, meaning there are no limitations on it's use, software, applications, and I have developed two of my own software applications to test it's claim I could develop my own. It worked. I used Flash to develop the Games. I LOVE THIS ITEM!!!

@TholepinProductions i think they jsut want to find a colored e-ink.. practically because lcd makes you eyes tire after some time. so its not reallly good for reading. :)

That's not really an e-reader. It has LCD.

Why is an LCD screen not an ereader? The unit is dedicated to eReading.

I believe this works more like a tablet than an e-reader. It's quite interesting, but I wouldn't use it to read books. It's too hard on the eyes.
