First of all it was not so much of a great fight but it wasn't horrible either. I am a huge Machida fan and I didn't think Shogun would be back to his pride form for this fight... but dam, shogun really impressed me. IMO he won the fight. Machida looked frustrated and shogun was murdering him with leg and body kickcs.

shogun had five rounds...five fckn rounds to do to lyoto what lyoto did to rashad in two to take the belt...shogun used to be a finisher and couldn't do it, played it safe and as such lyoto can be said to have successfully 'defended' his title...in the end, shogun blew his chance for to be the man you gotta beat the man and not leave it to the judges

I know Shogun won this. if we look at the comments before the fight, 87% thought machida would win. At the arena the crowd was chanting Machida, i am not sure Shogun even got a cheer when he was introduced. by the end of the fight, there were chants of Shogun, and i dont know but close to 95% saying Shogun won. Machida had more fans going into this fight. So for them to come out saying he lost is big.

Did you see Machida's body after the second rd? Both sides were bright ready from Shogun's body kicks. The first three rounds could have went either way but Shogun diffinately won the last two hands down. Shogun should have won, I bet he will win the rematch.
