@thomas533 The angle of the dangle takes two to untangle.Been out today doing my own calculations and test piloting my hammock and i find your calculations to be some what flawed.I will stick with my own methods and if it fails it fails.
@Velkoze1 in the winter here in Spain it can get down to -25 degrees C (-13) but i use my sleeping bag aswell when it is that cold but yeah 0 farenheit is cold enough in a hammock.Don't know how that fleece blanket of mine would hold up to that temperature though, would be interesting to find out next winter.
Let me know how well that windshield sun protector works out mate. I was actually looking at those last night but was trying to imagine how best to use it. I have a self inflating mat for my hammock but it's a bit bulky to carry around....
Hello Stuart brother! I really dig that hammock you made yourself! The sun screen reflector was a very smart idea too! I got a simmlar blanket which I use here most of time (except in the winter) but mine is light green! I like yours better! Very good gear my friend! Thank you for sharing it! Take care buddy!
@giutoniolo Hi fellow Boonie rat. Yeah the reflector is a great idea of mine and works well here in Spain. The blanket was bought from my local market for less than 12 euros and is more than enough for the Iberic Peninsula.Liked your latest videos from Brazil.Adeus

When you have the hammock suspension tight like that you are really overloading the lines. This is dangerous.
For a 200lb weight we have the following tension versus the angle:
30 degrees - 200 lbs
20 degrees - 292 lbs
15 degrees - 386 lbs
10 degrees - 575 lbs
5 degrees - 1147 lbs
