I have no doubt that Bungie will pull of the multi platform game, they puled off a fps on a console for the first time, 10 years ago, they can do it. But the question is will it be a good game. My theory is no because bungie is one of the last game companies that actually make games focused 99% on the story and the personal connection of the story to the gamer, rather then the multiplayer or the exclusive content. The thing is mmos don't work like that.
I loved halo. I ''grew up'' with Halo. But, Halo is going too far. It should end with Halo 4. There is still going to be halo 5 and 6 but the story is going to have nothig to do with halo. This new game sounds really good. Bungie are trying to make a game that will put halo to it's knee's! They will make cod look like stormrise (which sucks). This new game of Bungie's will hopefully be a huge seller.

I could almost garentee that Destiny will have somthing from all of the games you were talking about. It will most likely have tanks jeeps ect. fast paced and slow paced parts of the game depending on the enviroment and people playing the game. we'll see how it turns out.
I think it will be a constant war going on between all factions with players on playing as special forces (like Spartans or elites) but with lots of bots (like grunts and marines) running around. I know it won't actually be like halo I just used it as an example.
for an MMO to be functional, there needs to be something introducer like currency, or the chance (when running around) to be killed by other players etc. i believe it would take alot to have a halo world. also the ability to travel between rings/planets aswell as what people can do all the time. i myself am a WoW player, and i think this is a good idea, but there will be extra things like missions or something aside from the multiplayer. i have no idea how it'll turn out....but i cant wait :D

I hope that it's a game with relatively low graphics. That's part of the key to a good MMOFPS: Too high of graphics make the game hard to play for people who can't afford BEAST computers. OR at least have a wide variety of graphics settings, and start it off on lowest. Because I DEFINATLY prefer speed and game play to graphics... not to mention, if you have large-scale battles, the lower polygon count makes everyone life more lag free xD

Bungie signed a 10 year? deal with Activision-Blizzard. This was not that farfetched of an idea anyways. Seeing how ambitious Bungie usually is about their intellectual properties, this could be potentially exciting.

I think it will be a constant war going on between all factions with players on playing as special forces (like Spartans or elites) but with lots of bots (like grunts and marines) running around. I know it won't actually be like halo I just used it as an example.

for an MMO to be functional, there needs to be something introducer like currency, or the chance (when running around) to be killed by other players etc. i believe it would take alot to have a halo world. also the ability to travel between rings/planets aswell as what people can do all the time. i myself am a WoW player, and i think this is a good idea, but there will be extra things like missions or something aside from the multiplayer. i have no idea how it'll turn out....but i cant wait :D

I hope that it's a game with relatively low graphics. That's part of the key to a good MMOFPS: Too high of graphics make the game hard to play for people who can't afford BEAST computers. OR at least have a wide variety of graphics settings, and start it off on lowest. Because I DEFINATLY prefer speed and game play to graphics... not to mention, if you have large-scale battles, the lower polygon count makes everyone life more lag free xD

Bungie signed a 10 year? deal with Activision-Blizzard. This was not that farfetched of an idea anyways. Seeing how ambitious Bungie usually is about their intellectual properties, this could be potentially exciting.

ok lets get something straight here.... what you are suggesting is that they ment an mmo in the sense of a one world room which you can roam like wow on pc. which is almost impossible for a network such as xbox live and the ps3 network. the format will need so much coding it will crash as soon as any 2 players get 5 virtual miles away from each other not to mention the disc space needed. If this is true it WILL BE PC ONLY.

Bungie listens to no one. The MLG community made a petition about removing the bloom on the bungie forums and bungie didn't listen. Btw the petition was supported by several gaming communities.

Multi-console games ALWAYS hinder the experience and make games blow ass. Xbox/Playstation/Wii have some of the shittiest parts in the world compared to how much further PC can go right now. Any game that gets ported is bound to have LESS in it.
