They probably formed around 2007 with their suicide attacks, beheadings, and complete disregard for human life and the writ of the government. This isn't the real Afghan resistance. The TTP was denounced by the actual Taliban in Afghanistan (for doing nothing in Afghanistan and for killing civilians on purpose) and the scum in the TTP even went as far as to threaten them.
I agree, I hate Pakistan's allowing NATO supplies through but let's be honest the army has not actually helped the US or supported them (Pakistan's military has had a long standing peace deal with every group except the TTP - which the US hates)
