When he found the books "or whatever" in the house, they were referring to him in the 3rd person as a -Narrative Mode- or AKA -Mode of Narrative- for the movie. My friend read the book and understands it more then me...but I remember he said something like that so...hope this helps.

Well it actually depends on your perspective. Marla in my opinion is the final straw which lets Tyler Durden out. LIke the scene where he calls her, then hangs up. He surpresses almost everything in his life, and marla just helped shove the real tyler durden out of "the narrator."

Another would be the fact that women in general are no good, but thats just another story.
