I think its sad that they half-assed this game, it had SO much potential... GOW 3 was amazing and dantes inferno could have been even better had they put the same amount of effort into it. This was easily the best boss battle and sadly the only one that felt on par with the crazy bosses from gow... especialy the finisher!

It's interesting seeing how God of War 3 depicts King Minos as one of the three judges in Hades and how Dante's Inferno depicts him as a judge of the dead but in one of the circles of hell you begin a treacherous journey. Also in GOW 3 he's made of stone, but here in Dante he's a big Slug/Octopus looking thing.

It IS like GoW. As a matter of fact, it's the best God of War ripoff I've ever played! I played through the story mode all in one go, sat in front of my tv like 10 hours. It's awesome, go buy it, NAO :D

According to Kratos, there will be 'only Chaos'. And hell equals Chaos... so basicly the same :)

But in essence, DI is alot more savage than GoW. Not because of the divine comedy, but because the creepy feeling it gives you. "Shit, am I gonna look like THAT when I go to hell?"

Example: The unbaptised infants you get to face.. just gave me the bloody chills, especially with my daughter being 3 months away from coming into the world. GoW is in my opinion, mythology, but it stays mythology :)

I am playing on Infernal, and I had no problems, just the tenticles got me alot more than they should have, but I still beat him on y first try. The enemies he summoned gave me a bit more trouble than he did to be honest.

@DgDynasty Hi Dynasty, yes indeed - you need to hit his face multiple times i think. After 3-4 loops he is ready to go further. Maybe it has something to do with the difficulty level. The Video above seems to be played on the easiest level.

Well, the story and setting are entirely different, but everything else is essentially the same (combat, pacing, quick time events, over the top violence, just to name a few things). If you own a PS3, why don't you do yourself a favor and buy the GoW collection in preparation for GoWIII? Trust me, it'd be worth it.
