Cybergun FAMAS gearbox

Finally I found a V.1 gearbox video, thank you so much! All I wanna do is replace my spring with a M110 to upgrade the FPS, My question is that can the gearbox handle it just like it is? ( even though its M110 Im very iffy with these gearboxes lol )

@airsoftalex100 For the most part, no. They are not standard TM spec v1. They use a v2 AR-latch, extremel-short-shaft flat motor, v7 spur, v2 bevel and sector, and then a few other oddball parts.

@airsoftalex100 Yes, it is compatable with an EG-1000 (not the TM FAMAS EG-560), HOWEVER, you need to remove the pinion, cut down the shaft to the proper length, and replace the pinion.

@airsoftalex100 Nope. There are no motors with that same shaft cut. You could have someone with a dremel and pinion puller cut a motor shaft down for you, but as far as drop-in is considered, you're out of luck. (currently, I've got a custom-wound motor with cut down shaft in mine... pulls back any spring I throw at it without a hiccup)

@airsoftalex100 Yes, I do believe the barrel is regular old AEG cut. The bucking is a V-hop type like the PDI W-hold or firefly v-hops.

They are durable parts, they will last.

For all u cybergun fanboys, that gearbox iz probably made out of pot metal and a cheap exuse for squirtgun plastic, and i think that those bushings are 5 or 4 mm, not 6mm.

@amy06soccr You're a moron... First, nobody is a "cybergun fanboy". Second, there are NO airsoft gearboxes aside of the prowin and MTHaynes billet boxes that are not "pot metal". Third, the plastic is nylon, just like in every other airsoft gearbox. Fourth, the bushings are 6mm, 4mm and 5mm are not made. Fifth, learn to spell, use grammar, and think before you smash your face off of the keyboard next time.

Yes, but the whole thing fell apart once I opened it, and a small spring launched out. Also, the small metal rings were magnetically attached to the side I pulled off and have no idea where they go.

@blitzklinge11 In the gearbox? The part the rod screws into? If it's at the threading where mine was, you can probably epoxy it all together.

How much will it cost to replace a broken gear in this thing?

@blitzklinge11 Not much... Like I said, the sector and bevel are standard v2 and the spur is standard v7. Guarder and SHS make v7 spurs for cheap gears, and you can get over 9000 varieties of v2 gears otherwise.
