Just an opinion. Re-check your history peeps. It is a false premise to base your knowledge of Peruvian history on the Inkas only; I'd recommend professor Gary Urton books for starters. Maybe you'll learn to put the Inkas in perspective. I personally like the Wari the most, the Inkas were a bit too... nazi. However there is absolutely nothing wrong in being proud of something that can also bring joy to other people, just study your history better.
There are funny examples: chileans and peruvians are both taught that their national anthems came second after la Marseillaise, many years ago in some mythical contest for the "best" national anthem in the world, lol. I discovered this when I lived in Chile and I could go forever with this absurdities.

Just an opinion. Re-check your history peeps. It is a false premise to base your knowledge of Peruvian history on the Inkas only; I'd recommend professor Gary Urton books for starters. Maybe you'll learn to put the Inkas in perspective. I personally like the Wari the most, the Inkas were a bit too... nazi. However there is absolutely nothing wrong in being proud of something that can also bring joy to other people, just study your history better.

There are funny examples: chileans and peruvians are both taught that their national anthems came second after la Marseillaise, many years ago in some mythical contest for the "best" national anthem in the world, lol. I discovered this when I lived in Chile and I could go forever with this absurdities.

Ivalbe is right. Many peruvians have an addiction to insult not only chileans but their own peoples as well. It is disgusting, mainly because this psychological trait is the result of a complex history of cultural submission and military brainwashing, which kill clear thinking and the individual in the long term, and some nice copas and handshakes with our neighbors by the way.
