i know a recovering addict in his fourties, who is in recovery. he said that three years after he got sobered memories surfaced of the moment when he was a boy and raped by his uncle. McKenzie is right. many addicts bury the trauma of sexual abuse with drugs and alcohol. dialogue is necessary. addiction is widespread.
