so 9 people in the special olympics one year were all going to run in a race, when the race came they started to run, but one fell down, he cried and the others stopped. they went back and a girl kissed him on the cheak saying, "this will make you feel better" and they got up nd hooked arms and all won the race.

the people in the town were i live suport me and cheer me on when i compet all my friends come to see me compeat in swimming and bowling and im proud of how much i acomplished sinc i started and for thos of u who call people with disabilatys a retard why dont u stop and put your self in there shoes and think how u would feel if some one called u a retard i have a learning disabilaty and it takes me longer to do stuff and im pround to be a part of special olympics

to all my friends in Special Olympics that have pushed me further that gave me the courage to continue on thank for restoring my self-esteem. Thanks to Special Olympics I am a Sophmore at Purdue University I made the dean's list with GPA of 3.5 and am majoring in Psychology to turn my PDD (pervasive developemental disorder) into a PhD. my goal is to help kids with Autism through the troubles that I have treaded myself.

I don't understand your point. I acknowledge you care to some extent but non thinking comments like those don't move the world along. Shouldn't these people have a chance to compete and attain glory like us even if it's through their own way of living? They are not forced to compete, it is the size of their hearts that urges them on. I reckon you get actively involved, you'll understand when you see how those people feel if only for a week. That smile and thrill of winning moves them, moves us!
