I have a Canadian Brass arrangement and it is marked Maestoso at 78. This version is up around 98 and is far more jubilant than maestoso. It makes me wonder what the original was scored to be.
o i have to sing this for all-county and about 300 alto's,300 sopranos,300 tennors, and 300 basses try out adn one bass,1 tenor, one soprano, adn one alto go into a room and have to sing in front of 4 jugdes..and your the only one singing your part from heart..so its a bit scary adn its my frist year doing it!!!
my high school choir(which is oretty googd) sang this(i think we sounded better lol) i love this song, it has so much harmony and an aura of tranquility!!
Lol...I love this song we sang it in the 8th grade...I just think the soprano's could be just a bit louder but otherwise...WHO gives a shit =D I think they did a great job =P
my high school choir is singin this its so fun to sing i got it on the first day nd its so easy nd i love my bass part for it

"Halleluia Amen" is the chorus from Handel's oratorio Judas Maccabaeus (HWV #63).

My choir... we have a more latin touch to it.... they sing the hallelujah way to american-accent like.

Very difficult and extensive work.

Yes. My choir enjoyed learning this as much as I enjoyed teaching it. This was an all volunteer church choir, including some non-readers.
